I don't have a landline. I just have my Razr and my $20/month plan ($22.75 after taxes) from Virgin Mobile.

So... are you cut off from the rest of the world, or just those pesky telemarketers?

Do you still rely on a landline, or have you migrated to using just your cellphone, or are you one of those lucky guys who has both?

EDIT - added the requisite poll with joke option!

Gawd, you have to punch the numbers in these days, don't you...

EDIT: I do have a mobile, but I hardly use it and hate it. Mostly an expensive waste of time, IMHO.

I have a land line and a cell phone, and an 800 number that goes to internet voice mail.

My cell phone number is highly guarded.

Mobiles. Those things are called mobiles.

And yes, I have one. Not saying what pics I've got on it, though ;)

I have a cell phone only, no need to pay for more than one phone bill.

Cell Phone only. Cuts time in answering messages and no telemarkets.

Cheap little pre-paid cell. Used for emergencies only.

Though my mother's idea of an emergency is a little different from mine. At least I live far enough from her now that she doesn't call me at midnight because she's out of cigarettes.

Free mobile phone (no line rental or call charges as I work for a mobile phone supplier:) )

Landline so it is cheaper for people to call me on an evening (not that that ever happens, unless they are from India and trying to sell me a new mobile:D )

I've got this, but I'm thinking of upgrading to a smaller model. What do you think of this?

We could talk about phones like my Dad used to talk about cars

"I drive a Sony Ericsson myself, better reception for 3G and easier MMS"

"Yes, but the Samsung has a 3.2megapixel camera and jog dialler"

I have both for two reasons -

1. Until just two weeks ago my internet access was dial-up - you need a land line for that.
2. Calls don't get dropped on a land line like they do on cell phones.

I don't have a phone.

At all.

I used to have a landline, but I came to the conclusion that nobody called me anymore, so I got rid of it. If I need to use the phone I use it at school. Except for long distance, I have Skype for that and I have considered buying a package for unlimited outgoing calls to Canada and the US.

But yeah, I don't keep in touch with people unless they have the internet anymore basically.
