I've decided NSG needs a thread devoted to interesting alcoholic beverages. Some of the ones I have created:

Piss (I was incredibly drunk when I made this. I do not recommend consuming it.)

Equal parts Guiness and Vodka.

Liquid Fire/Battery Acid

4 parts tonic
2 parts vermouth
double of vodka
1 shot Jack Daniels

The Hangover cure

8 parts apple juice
3 parts white powerade
1 part Vault energy drink
1 alka-seltzer
1 shot of Cuervo

consume with celery.

Snakebite & Black FTW!

Um.. a flaming B52... or some name like that. equals parts absinthe... um... I can't remember the other ingredients, but I think it could ahve been tia maria and baileys... But use proper absinthe, the stuff they make in Portugal.

Oh yes, and light it on fire and drink through a (fireproof) straw. With the straw tip only just touching the top of the drink as you slurp it up. No cheating and drinking from the bottom.

In every alcohol topic, this must be mentioned once:

Vesper Martini
3 parts gin
1 parts vodka
Half a part lillet
Shake with ice

The Tacky Tropical

Half of a grapefruit.
A highball glass.
Half a (highball) glass of vodka.
1/4 a glass of strawberry pucker.
1 packet of sugar.
3 ice cubes.


1. Pour the vodka, and the strawberry pucker into the highball glass.
2. Juice the grapefruit, use a paper towel to strain and pour into glass.
3. Add the sugar.

Stir and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.


I came up with that, and I just measure by eye, so if it sucks, it's so totally your fault and not mine.

Could be a Flatliner. I think it's Tequila, Vodka and a dash of tabasco. And you're right, it's foul.

Anyway, here's a good 'un. I know it as, erm, cider & Cointreau, but any better suggestions will be duly considered.

One pint (dry) cider
Two shots Cointreau (orange liqueur)

Mix.

Beer.

Not a beverage, but alcoholic. Take a pint of whipping cream, start whipping. Add sugar, vanilla and rum to taste. Serve over pumpkin pie or ice cream or anything that takes your fancy.

Most of the cocktails I've had are pretty standard fare - daquiris, margaritas, sours, that sort of thing. The absolute worst cocktail I have ever had in my life was made of Everclear and cherry Kool-Aid. Do not, under any circumstances, even if your friend who mixed it begs you to, try this. It's awful.

As for other creative cocktails, the girliest girly drink I have ever had was a mixture of pear juice and Estonian black currant liqueur. It was delicious, if rather overwhelmingly sweet. My friends and I also invented a drink we jokingly call a Manly Navel - a fuzzy navel with mango juice added. We all found it tastier than a standard fuzzy navel.

I'd like to try some of this stuff (http://www.patentlysilly.com/patent.php?patID=7037541) if it was available.

I invented this one myself & it's a great favourite at parties:


Top Of The FridgeTM


1) Take whatever odds & ends of the various unusual liqueuers that are gathering dust on top of the fridge.

2) Mix it with whatver mixer you have in the fridge, eg: lemonade, coke, dry ginger, orange juice, etc.

3) Blend if neccessary.

4) Garnish with ice, a sprig of mint, and/or whatever else you have available.

5) Serve in a clean drinking vessel of your choice.



It's a surefire winner & a guaranteed hit with the ladies!

The car Bomb

- Half a pint of guinnes in a pint glass
- Add a double shot of vodka to the guinness
- Fill a shot glass with baileys
- Drop into the pint glass and drink the lot very quickly before it curdles

The Flatliner

- Take a double shot glass and fill with one shot of tequila and one of sambuca
- Float a spot of tabasco on the top
- Down in one

The Andromeda Strain

2 parts sterno
1 part rum

Well if we're going for toppings...

I use this one over chocolate muffins.

1/2 cup white chocolate chips, 1/3 cup whole milk, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 3 cardamom pods. Heat the whole thing up in a saucepan on low heat while adding clear rum to taste.

Beer.

Winner. I killed about 7 plus a couple Smirnoffs last night...it was pretty good. And none of that Natty Light shit, either...I had my friend pick up some Labatt Blue and I paid him when I got there.

I would go tonight, but I've got German homework to do tomorrow.

Hell, regular vodka will do that to me...ever since I got way too drunk on it a few months ago, I just plain can't drink it. It makes me nauseous...

That's why I stick to beer, not to mention I like the taste of it better than hard liquor.

Put as much vodka in as you want to achieve the desired level of inebriation--it doesn't really affect the taste.

Hell, regular vodka will do that to me...ever since I got way too drunk on it a few months ago, I just plain can't drink it. It makes me nauseous...

I believe durring Easter last year I did drink cherry coke and vodka! It must have been good, I drank the entire bottle of vodka.
