I kid ye not!

Apparently this was last April, but I've only just heard about it. The third Pig Olympics were held in Moscow in 2006, with three events: an obstacle course, swimming, and "football".

BBC article here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4914320.stm). ;)

:p No, it appears I was wrong. Although I highly doubt the Jolt search function's accuracy when it says that there are no threads over the whole forum (not just the NS part, either) that have the word 'pig' in the title. Especially considering this thread.

Well, Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_Olympics) says there were Games in both 2006 and 2005, so presumably there will be in 2007. The last Games were in April, so the next ones could be quite soon.

I'd just like to chip in and say, i thought words smaller than 4 letters were ommitted from searches, it works that way for singl word searches. i think
Also if one is searching for something outside of the current year the results won't show up, one needs to alter the search range a bit, e.g. last 6 months and older.

Though you may have done that, then i'd say never mind.:)

What if they had pairs for the Pig Olympics- Humans and Pigs...
Then we could have events like

Biatholon- Ski from station to station with a pig on your back. Cook one section of the pig at each station. Its a race! Pick your porker

Babe race- Time how long it take your pig to heard sheep inside a pen.

It'll be a multi-million industry... im sure of it
