My wife and I just found out that we're going to be parents for the first time! I am so excited and proud, I can't even imagine how great a mother my wife be.
I came home from work and she had set up this nice romantic dinner and told me all about it. We actually already know what we want to name the newest member of our family; Aaron (my name) for a boy, and Amanda for a girl.
I'm just so--excited!

it's pretty funny and there are a lot of things in there you (mostly she) needs to know that aren't in What to expect when you are expecting (which you should also buy her, because there's a lot of weird crap that happens when you are pregnant)
also, I totally love the names!

I am growing a human! that's like......hard and taxing on my system and stuff, the baby uses 1/3 of the oxygen in my blood this trimester, and it's got my hormones screwy and I can't eat and I pee all the time and my feet hurt, andit's only 9 weeks in....the least you can do is go down the freaking street and buy me whatever I want! I was walking around NOT pregnant until I met you, this is all your fault I need chocolate GO NOW!!!!!! [/flashback]
