Sincere? Staged? Genuine? Opportunistic? I'm not sure how to take it. On the one hand, Allen (the mother) seemed genuinely upset, and Kucinich's reaction did seem authentic at first. But then you realize that this is a public, televised press conference, and that he may have gone through with the gesture at least partly for publicity and not purely out of the goodness of his heart. Then again, the encounter never did get much publicity...
What do you think? Was it a genuine moment? An opportunistic publicity stunt? Does it make you think any more positively of the underdog Democratic candidate?
