For whatever reasons, that phrase just popped up in my mind.
And then I thought, it sounds so funny, there's gotta be something on the net on an http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/GermanNightmare/Shroomy.gif enormous mushroom or something.
So I present you this: The biggest blob there is, and it's ancient!
9.65 square kilometres wide and is estimated to be at least 2 millenia old, if not older.
"From a broad scientific view, it challenges what we think of as an individual organism."
That's quite an accomplishment for a spore, I might say!

Although the article itself is rather old, I hadn't heard about it before and thought I might share it with y'all.
Otherwise, repeat the thread title over and over with different voices.
And have a laugh. ;)
