if every sparrow on this earth is counted, well this ought to give those who think that way a little bit of perspective. it's a big universe out there. if every sparrow on THIS earth is counted, there are as many other 'earths', even in just this galixy, let alone all the galaxcies in the rest of this universe, as there are sparrows on this one! each of them, of course, having as many of their own equivelant of sparrows as our own. so if every sparrow on THIS earth is counted, you can bet every sparrow on every other earth like planet that has them, is 'counted' as well.

The universe has many sparrows until they all get bird flu and die. Then the universe has no sparrows.

So what are you saying? That there's life on other planets, and some of it is probably birdlike?

Wow, revolutionary.

I think there are better ways to intimate the vast possibilities of the universe than with some muddled "sparrow" metaphor...

Consider the tics that inhabit the sparrows that live on the planets that orbit the suns in some other galaxy ...

You're trying to warn me that if I don't remove the birdhouse from my garden I may some day find that it houses a man-eating monster blob from Venus instead of sparrows?

Oh yeah?

"It will happen, and it will happen in our lifetime. Fusion power isn't the future; fusion power is now. To map the very stuff of life. To gaze into the abyss of the genetic code and watch a million generations march past. That friends, is both our curse and our greatest achievement. For it is only in looking to the past, that we find out who we truly are."
