I'm just wondering how many of you vote on polls just to vote. You couldn't care less, but that "Oh my goodness! There's a poll! Gotta vote!" mentality just takes over.
So, how many of you does that happen to?
I do it coz I like to answer inane questions. It's sorta a zen thing for me.

I try not to answer polls randomly, unless they're joke polls. Sometimes I deliberately won't vote for some other reason.

Yup. Even better when it's multi-choice, although I'm not one of those (and I know there are some) who'll pick every option on them without even checking what it's about.

What? No silly option? I refuse to vote in this ridiculous sham of a poll. Now make it again, only this time don't embarrass yourself. All polls must have "Myrth" or "Pancakes" or something as an option. Sheesh, kids these days.

Kids?
I've been on here longer than you, though under different guises.

You first. Respect the rules of polls. Oh yeah, and I've been at NS since 2002, though not always under this name.

Oop, maybe not then. I can't remember how long I've been on, actually.
The last option is sort of a joke option.

Sometimes I will vote on a poll and not respond to a thread. But I don't vote just to vote. I will choose the joke answer if I don't like any of the above answers.

Sort of. Come on, this is NS General, not NS Diaper School. We expect more around here. As the patent holder for the English language and the winner of two threads, I am qualified to say...**passes out**

No, it doesn't happen, which is why I didn't vote on your piece of shit.

most polls i have an opinion on, exceptions being sports and comic/sci-fi polls. but i always vote as long as it's not an either/or only poll, cuz they are stupid. they tend to get a "this poll sucks/needs a joke option/needs a middle of the road option" style response from me.

I avoid some polls entirely, because of a lack of an acceptable option, even some of the silly options wont do when i want to answer truthfully.
There should be a "I refuse to vote in this poll" option.

It's pretty rare that I vote in polls when I see them, they're generally completely stupid. The 'comedy options' generally lack comedy value, and any time there is a thread without a poll, there always seems to be someone who demands one for some stupid reason I'm yet to fathom.

Damn it! I didn't even get to the end of the poll - I already voted yes...

I love to vote in polls, even if couldn't care less or don't have a clue about the subject.
If I don't vote in all the polls I see my brain will fall out.

No, I only vote in polls when appropriate, and only put them in threads that I start when appropriate.
In the case of this thread, voting "no" was appropriate.

No, all polls must now have a Ruffy option. ;)

Why do you think all of the threads I start in NSG contain polls? One of these days, you're gonna miss one and have your brain fall out. :p
