I learned of Ani DiFranco probably about 10ish years ago on a college station in Iowa. I fell in love with her style and her songs right away. I find her to be a very talented guitarist as well as song writer/singer.
I believe she started her own label so that makes her smart :)

Have you heard of her? Do you like her? I only have three albums. "Dilate" is my favorite" but the latest one is pretty nifty.
I've never seen anyone actually mention her in the music threads around here and as I just got an album of hers I thought I'd see what my other NSers thought about her.
W00T! I'm a big fan, see her everytime she comes to town...I love Out of Range...Buildings and Bridges was the first song I ever heard of hers...awesomeness. She is just a hot ball of fury.

Somehow I knew you either would be a fan already or like her once introduced to her.
I kept meaning to ask you, but obviously kept forgetting.
Bottle is the other person I thought of as someone who would like Ani and I am guessing most likely already does.

All I know about her is that whenever someone calls in to the Ron and Fez show and says something racist they play a clip of her singing the line "white people are so scared of black people".

No, it's a pretty mixed bag...she's a great live show...what the hell is the song she sings where she talks about selling guns and them going straight to hell....it's WICKED live, just incredible.

My intro to Ani DiFranco was the song "Both Hands" which I like a lot. Since then I have enjoyed many other songs of hers.

Living in Clip is my favorite album. It's live and it rocks.

I like her, but she has a tendency to rant too much in her songs. Her guitar playing is excellent.
The first song I heard by her was "Untouchable Face (Fuck You!)" and I like it.

Yeah, Untouchable Face is an amazing song!
and even though I am ultimately attracted to her because of how she expresses herself, I also think she has a beautiful face.
