You know, if the shark was hungry enough to come in for a second bite, something is really wrong.

I'm pretty impressed how he is even able to do the ol' eye poke after the shark cracks his mask and breaks his nose on the first bite.

How scary would that be? I don't ever want to be half eaten (at least while I'm alive).

If this happened to me, I would probably never step foot in the ocean again. I'd probably even be afraid of taking baths.

There was an shark documentary on a month ago about the feared man-eating Great White...apparently there are some divers in S Africa have found an incredible way of fending off Great Whites...they use a short stick and touch the sharks nose and the shark swims off, these guys afterward would swim with the sharks and even hitch a ride by grasping the sharks dorsal fin...it was amazing to see 5 and 6 meter sharks being tamed by a little stick...even a penguin being stalked by a shark did the same, a quick peck on the nose and the giant shark turned tail...

the important thing was not to be on the surface and seeing the shark coming otherwise you could be lunch...

I think Mythbusters had an episode dedicated to sharks...the shark's sensory receptors are located in its nose. If you punch a shark in the nose, it will most likely not attack.

Not that I recommend going out and punching sharks... :p

well it's no myth and I certainly don't care to try it myself...and something far less than a punch was applied, just touching the sharks nose was enough to dissuade them...it was so cool to see those massive killers being turned aside by a man with a stick:)

Even sponge baths?

Even sponge baths?

I guess we'll have to try and see the result. That was an offer right?

What's a Skark?

A shark with jet engines instead of fins.

I personally would've been too preoccupied being eaten to even poke the shark in the eye.
