hello,

i was just complimented in a thread,kinda....and it got me thinking.

first off,and this is no excuse..i had a rough couple of years...too many deaths of family and friends to list....a pleasant stay in jail,for which i was innocent,and my son..my best friend went to bootcamp without consulting me about it.

ok that was an excuse...sorry


anyhow,i do want to apologise to anyone i may have offended previously,i wont say i wont speak my mind,or voice my opinion even if it differs from yours.
but i will say i will not engage in personal attacks on anyone even if i vehemently dissagree with them.
i did that in the past,and will attempt to not do that in the future.

i really do learn and value differing points of view.

i think i have in the past...either out of anger,or being drunk...over reacted or worse..went off half cocked and lashed out at people here....mostly venting...but no excuse for that...sorry.

sometimes in the past i have used this forum to vent my anger...unfairly..due to my own issues,which is unfair.

so i will attempt to not do that in the future.

i just wanted to apologise to anyone i offended,and reassure them it was not personal.

i will say that lively discussions was what hooked me on this site,and the differing pov's,but i got carried away...for that i apologise.

i will attempt to disagree(when i dissagree) in a less adversarial way.

my bad and sorry to any offended parties here.

i actually am pretty level headed in real life,and kinda new to the whole internet thing.

Does it ever really help to apologize? If you offended anyone, they probably don't remember it. It's the internet, remember. Also, being that this is the internet, any irreversible damage you've done to your e-reputation can be done by simply creating a new account. Simple enough.. so, to conclude, apologies.. not necessary.

I've found that apologizing only helps if you apologize in the same thread that you may have offended someone.

yes while i agree with you,i felt i needed to say i was sorry if i offended anyone...because i actually care if i hurt peoples feelings.

i suppose i could just be ..wtf...it's the internet,and be done with it,but i try to be honest in all my dealings..even in the ether that is the "net"

Further, it shows he has character to admit his mistakes and that he actually cares for this community enough to reduce the overall negativity present in General.

Further, it shows he has character to admit his mistakes and that he actually cares for this community enough to reduce the overall negativity present in General.


thanks,while i am not trolling for forgiveness,nor am i trying to make myself feel better,i just thought i may have been a little to aggressive/negative towards certain people,and i wanted to let them know it was not personel,just having some issues.
i will say i reacted to certain posts with...how would you say...a bit of negativity....and in that,i attacked people that did not deserve it...they may have been wrong,but i was way wrong for my personel rants,for that i am sorry.

i do like this place,and value everyone's opinion...really...i may not at first responce,but given time to think,i will either apologise for any outburst i may have...even if i am in my mind correct...but will realise i way over reacted and insulted total strangers i know nothing about.

that bothers me,even if i feel i am correct,to insult people is not the norm for me.

SAM, you have strong opinions, but in my experience you are a very nice person. I have not been offended by you, to the best of my memory.

That said, your posts may become more readable if you capitalize. Just some advice.
