Why is this the fault of the court system? The state legislature passed a law saying you could bring suits against people this way. get the law repealed or amended or whatever. The courts are simply doing their job by hearing the arguments. It'll probably die on the vine anyway.

If they give you anything.

Okay, well, suing people and companies is the patriotic, American thing to do, so I begin to question your loyalty when you say things like that. :p

Let's see how far the suit gets before condemning the courts out of hand. And I can't imagine that Canada and other countries are totally without frivolous lawsuits.

Also, perhaps we should stop deriding this. They might have a point. Think about it: AIDS is certainly stressful. Stress can lead to erectile dysfunction. So you take Viagra. Therefore, Viagra theoretically could lead to people with AIDS who would not otherwise not have sex to have sex, therefore increasing the spread of AIDS. Realize, of course, that most people with this disease are going to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of it. Some, however, may be in denial, not give a damn, or the measures may not work (condoms burst, for example.)

However, I don't really see how you can tell if they're pitching it at men with ED or men without ED. There wouldn't be much of a difference in marketing techniques (That is, both are retarded.) as far as I can tell.

what's wrong with spreading HIV ? Since HIV is not something you get, but something you take, it's in everybody's own responsibility. Viagra or whatever has nothing to do with HIV.

I didn't say it turned you into a sex machine. I said countermeasures may fail. Also, no offense, but many people with AIDS weren't exactly "one partner" if yah know what I mean. Or their one partner wasn't one partner.

No, this isn't some sort of anti-people with AIDS message. I'm just saying, a lot of people with AIDS weren't really chaste or had sex with someone who wasn't so.


I can't refute point 2, though. ;)
