MONTREAL (AFP) - A Quebec woman believed to be the world's oldest person has reportedly died at the age of 115.
According to Radio-Canada, Winnifred Bertrand inherited the title after the death in December of American Elizabeth Bolden, who was 116.
Bertrand, who once worked as a saleswoman, died Thursday at 115 years and 124 days, in a Montreal retirement home where she had lived for 35 years.
The world record for the oldest person was set by Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122.

Clennett's life must have been cool to a certain degree, to go from horse drawn buggy to going to the moon to being bored with launching people into space.
Imagine being a hundred years old and thinking, "Hey, I could have another twenty-two years ahead of me." It's statistically possible...

I chose 50-75, but I have a feeling I will die young. I'm always unlucky. Plus I'm not a good driver... Not a good driver at all... And sometimes my heart hurts and the doctor doesn't know why...

Granted, living forever would ruin my scheme of racking up massive debt and then willing it to the state. Someone told me 'good luck getting away with that.'
I, of course, told them I would already have gotten away with it, being dead and all.

I "plan" to live until 300, but I'll most likely not live past 75.

I'm fairly sure the (then) world's oldest person died just a few months ago, and the title was passed to someone from either the Caribbean or South or Central America. Though I'm currently drunk, and thus my memory is almost certainly wrong.

I'm certain I won't live past 50.
I used to think that, but now it's only 10 years away, and it doesn't seem quite so daunting...
Personally, i think i'll die between 60 & 90, depending on how i live the next 20 years, (and barring any unforseen calamity, like a new ice age, a mega-meteoroid, or something like that,) because all but one of my grandparents died in their 90s, and my parents and most of their siblings are in their 70s, and still going strong.
I'm certain I won't live past 50.
I'm doubting i'll get past 40, since it feels like a near eternity away, but I plan to die stupidly, with my proverbial cock out. (but knowing my luck, it'll be a congenital heart defect that gets me...)

I don't know how lond I would live. My grandfather lived into his late 80's and so did several other family members, but I don't know how much of that rubs off.

I plan on living long enough to rack up an enormous debt, do irreparable damage to the environment, and get several million dollars behind on my taxes. So, I'll need, at least, 7 more years.
Better make it 10, just to be sure.
Just make sure it's only your proverbial cock. Anything else would be pathetic. :p

the cool thing about living to 122 is that you can say "hey I remember when I started college 104 years ago, and think to youself, "man fiddy cents P.I.M.P. is 104 years old, I remember when he used to be cool, I remember when the Ipod was the pinnacle of technology."

Death would be so... inconvienient. Why should it happen to me? Obviously we need a live forever option as that is going to be true in my case. Death can cause such an irritation to any plans one might have.

I'd argue that 'Fiddy' never was cool. Getting shot and being a bad rapper =/= being cool.
20 years since Red Dwarf started. You'd never guess from watching the first series...:p

Interesting...I always thought the oldest person was female. It seems that Emiliano Mercado del Toro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emiliano_Mercado_del_Toro) is the first male oldest person in 20 years.
For those of you complaining about no forever option, choose 140+ like I did.

yeah I know, it hasnt dated too badly, the special effect were always bad though, even by 80s standards and especially by the cgi standards of the 90s. Starship Troopers is 10 years old and still looks like it could have been made yesterday.
I agree with the fiddy thing, he epitomizes everything that is crap in rap, but hes so crap that I just cant help liking his music, its catchy but in a cheesy really shit "I knocked tis up on pro tools in 5 minutes" kinda way which is funny. Imo ICE T and Public Enemy were the only rappers I could take seriously, the old skool stuff from the 80s was pretty damn good.

If you could keep your stem cells (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stem_cell) producing and reproducing more cells to your body, you can't die for age...
Also, if you could synthetically produce organs from them you could have "replaceable parts" in your body.
But, regettably it isn't yet possible.

I plan to live forever, of course, but barring that I'd settle for a couple thousand years. Even five hundred would be pretty nice.

You call dying at 80 being "out of shape"? If you're male, that's above every national average.
