Timing
I've been sitting here on NS not doing much since about 1530 (it is now 1800, BTW). That entire time I have had Full Metal Jacket sitting on my computer just waiting for me to watch it for the first time. However, it was not until now that I remembered that, which just happens to be 10 minutes before I have ho go to work. Just wonderful isn't it?

You've never seen FMJ? Oh my giddy aunt, but have you missed out.
Before watching, I recommend you get several beers and snacks to get yourself in the mood.
I saw it on the big screen a week or so back and man, does it kick arse when it's proper size and ratio (1:1.85, as opposed to 1:1.69 for DVD). The slo-mo gun shots at the end are great to watch on the big screen.
