.99?!

I was just flipping through the Circuit City booklet thing and a certain price caught my eye: $9.99, for a 512MB USB stick! Sometime in December 2003, I bought my first stick after a teacher showed everyone his. That was a 256MB for $69.99 (on sale). How these things have dropped in price! It's amazaing! I love them! USB > everything. :D

It's not even worth making the 128MB ones anymore, they'd be too damn cheap and unnecessary. I still remember those zip disk things that held 100 or 200MB. How times have changed since Windows 3.1...which I barely remember being about 5 when '95 came out. I feel old...

I post this in the hopes of being listed before the OP.

EDIT: SCORE!

You can buy cheapies for half on eBay, new.

Go to newegg, Kingston has 1GB USB drives for ~$13.

13.99 to be exact. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820189035)

Which reminds me, I want that one because I want a U3 flash drive for independent virus and spyware scanning programs.

Jolt has really been messing up tonight... more than usual.

There are a bunch of threads where the OP is, like, 2 or 5 posts down...

Kids today... I remember when we used to buy C120 cassette tapes because you could get about 200k on them.

There are two semi-seperate servers, I believe, and the time on them sometimes gets out of sync.

Newegg and Tiger Direct > stores. Except Fry's. Fry's is good too. I'd almost move to Washington for Fry's. Though Circuit City is usually decent for networking.
