The human race is diverse, thriving, and moving forward in a speed that defies what our biology should be capable of. Our capacity to survive eclipses what any other species is capable of.

Nah, humans will destroy the planet, or at least make it uninhabitable for themselves by nuclear warfare. A few might be in a space station or something, but without shipments of food and such from Earth they'd die pretty quickly.

For example, we're eating more grain than we're cultivating, and when we're out of grain, we'll have exterminated all the other competing species we could have eaten as well by overfarming amongst other things. We're killing off species of fish and bird and mammal we feed on, in such a way that we can't eat them. And we let large portions of our population live in extreme poverty in such a way that can spread diseases quite rapidly, exterminating them.

You can't say humanity is very rational considering how much it's doing to contribute to its own demise. Name a "lower" animal that does the same thing.

You criticize us because we arent gods. We cant facilitate the well-being and happiness of every human being on earth. We compete with each other because we are so high above any other species, we are the only real threat to ourselves. Even the most primitive of tribes can kill any other animal they wanted. Humanity needs four things to survive: reason -- logic, rational thought; purpose -- an end for which to use that thought; creativity -- the ability to apply that thought to reality; and efficiency -- the ability to apply it well. I'm not going to claim I have all of these perfectly. I don't think anyone does.

Once again, I don't see very much evidence of human aboriginals in Antarctica, for instance. Or living at the bottom of the sea. Or, for that matter, living in some of the world's more hostile desert or mountain environments (the Taklamakan Desert is an example).

Humans can inhabit maybe 20% to 25% of the earth's surface: that part of it that is not covered by water and is of a reasonably temperate climate, between about -20 and 40 degrees Celsius. Anything else is practically unworkable and even today requires a lot of high-tech equipment.

Humans aren't necessarily much worse than other animals, although they are the only ones who are systematically destroying their natural habitat, which other animals tend not to do. But much better? I doubt it.
