i have one, and i love it.
sadly i don't have all that much time to play games, but HD gaming (when i do play) rocks, the graphics are great, and the sound is good. i especially like that i can hook up an external USB2 hard drive to it and play my music collection through my hi-fi with it, and view pictures and stuff. can also connect to my computer and stream video off it (and pics/music), but not divx movies :(
controllers are great, wireless and comfy (just right for me). its a bit loud with the fan, but if you're playing a DVD or game you don't notice it.
xbox live is great too for arcade games, demos, videos, and other stuff. though you have to pay for a lot of it (and to play mulitplayer over live gold)
overall i'd definitely recommend getting one if you're thinking about it, dependent that there are games you're going to want for it (i recommend lego star wars 2 highly! and PGR3)

Played Call to Duty III on me mates xbox 360 over their network for the first time yesterday. Just wanted to have a quick go to see what all the raving was about...
heh....5 hours later....
Amazing.
even more addictive than when Doom first appeared.
Will now need to get my hands on this...problem is I doubt I'd ever leave the house...
