BK beat me to it. Sex is the absolute answer for me. I just saw pictures on myspace of a girl I had "raunchy sex" with from her new modeling agency and was amazed. My wife is hella hot and nearly on par with this one, but I impressed myself all over again knowing that I shagged the daylights out of this delicious dish.

The purpose of my life is from a scientifical standpoint to breed. But on a more spiritual level, I want to be a kind, happy, generous and acceptive person that helps other people. I have a long way to go before I become a person like that because I'm wasting away most of my time watching TV and playing computer but that is my goal. But right now, I'm going to study because the possibilities get so much bigger in life if you have a proper education.

Sure.

After work today, I sat in front of my computer for some 10 hours. I did absolutely fuck all of value tonight, and you know what? It was good.

And i'm going to sleep in until 3pm tomorrow, and then i'm venture outside to get myself a proper milkshake from the cafe, in a really tall glass. Lime flavour, with icecream. I like milkshakes. And then after that i'm going to go raid the local second hand shops for cheap records.

And then i'm going to come back home and do fuck all again.

Question: do you use 'an' only when you have a word that begins with a vowel or when you have a word that begins with the sound of a vowel eg. NGO (en-gee-oh).

"An NGO" = correct

"A NGO" = stuttering toddler

Just say 'em aloud to see what I mean...

and yes, I have long since realized that all of the knowledge I will acquire in my lifetime will be lost when I die, making my existence ultimately futile.

Not to mention a very strong will, as well as a death wish.

First thing that pops to mind: I live for this! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbktkagCX6c)

(If you substitute "Mets" for "Red Sox")

More seriously, day by day I set a small goal for myself, and if I do it, I get this nice little warm feeling inside. I like that feeling. :)

I do, too. :p
i change my mind, i live for my dreams. just the dreams though, not the fulfilment of them.
Curious. And just how does this work precisely?
What do I live for?
Life has overall been fun or at least interesting. Death might be the best thing ever or it might totally suck. I have to experience it sooner or later and I don't see a point in rushing it at the moment.

Might it not be irrelevant?

I live because I'm too lazy to do otherwise. I'm also not sure what else to do. Death frankly takes too much effort.

No, you don't. You weren't even around for 90% of them. :p
It was the old days for me, some nine months ago. :p Besides, the way I posted during the summer, one might wonder if I lived for NSG. lol
stfu, do you want them all to want one? <.<

It's not a lasting, emotional connection anyway. Sure, it may bring momentary fun and humour into my life. But would I really care if half of NSG's posters were to die tomorrow?
Half, no, but some of us, yes. I know you'd miss me, old-timer. :fluffle:
I live for experience. I want to experience as much as possible. To know as much as possible. That's pretty much it.
Stuff your experience. But I'll take the knowledge. :p
*LOL*

I'd set up a defense wall of nekkid Maggie Thatcher pics. I'm sure that'll keep 'em at bay.

Alarms aren't that great with me either so I use 4, and I'm still always late.

Hmmm... I know what you mean, I'm barely online myself anymore cos of the gf etc. Looks like "real life" is taking over!

Ha! I'm sure there's some sort of article from one (or both) of the Geneva Conventions on the issue forbidding such photos to exist.

I just use the one, but I set it an hour and a half or so early. Takes half an hour for it to work. It might get back to the point it won't work at all. I hope not, though. :S

Yeah. Mine doesn't even live that close, and still she occupies a lot of my time. lol

I like my life. I find happiness and satisfaction in most of the things I do, and most of the people I'm around. That's basically it. I have no pretentions to 'meaning' or 'purpose'. The biggest scheme I can see myself being part of is an environmental or political movement.

Laughter. The purpose of life is to enjoy it. :)
Could it really be so simple!?:eek::p
Well, you are in for some disappointments.
I rather agree.
Knowledge, aye, and laughter and the love of a good woman. And because the alternative sounds utterly boring. I'm always reminded of Dorothy Parker's poem, Resume:

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

I haven't read that in some time. It always appealed to me as the bare minimum excuse to not commit suicide. :p

It's either an immortality through progeny thing or it has to do with propagation of the species, which might well be the cause of the former.:p

Like most, I prefer to just live...I don't need a philisophical reason to enjoy life.

But, taking the long view...I'd like to raise global awareness of the fact that we need to find a way off of this rock called Earth if we plan to survive as a species. If we don't poison it ourselves, nature will do the job for us.

As a result, my education is directed towards fields that I hope will help me towards that end.

Will it work? Not likely...but nobody will be able to say I didn't try. :)
