I think the terms are fairly interchangeable, but if I had to make a distinction, I'd say that "nerd" is effectively a synonym for "academic," "geek" is effectively a synonym for "technophile" with occasional connotations of "fanboy/fangirl," and "dork" is effectively a synonym for "silly or eccentric person." I and pretty much all my friends fit easily (and proudly!) into all three categories. :)

(Then, of course, there's also the "bites heads off chickens" and the "whale's penis" definitions, but I assume they weren't what anyone had in mind.)

Oooh, I would have been most accurately described as a dork. Completely an utterly socially inept. The only kid who could take hard liquor, everyone seemed to know me, but I had no idea who any of these people were. Apparently my infamy spread. I would sometimes sit inside the maths room at lunchtime, sometimes drinking whiskey. At others I'd go play football out on the field and get myself covered in grass stains (fear my slide tackle) and get called spagetti legs. And I'd keep computers rooms open after school so people could muck about on the internet. I formed social relationships with the technicians, my head of year (the only other londoner in the school). I can't remember why I'm writing this post. hopefully you can remember for me.

Initially I scored the same as Ruffy, Chandelier, Minaris, Inviktus and that other person -- 93.

"That can't be right," I said to myself, clicking the "Back" button. I re-answered it more carefully, and ended up with 100, exactly average (and same as CToaN, Naturality, Anti-Social Darwinism etc.).

I was hurt by the lack of an "I don't play sports" option, the lack of any association of the colour red with particular TV shows or musical pieces, and no questions about proclaiming oneself ruler of the multiverse among other things.
