Sounds to me like you're doing Sunday morning perfectly.
Usually, my g/f and I go to breakfast with her parents, but we're putting it off till tomorrow since we're all off for MLK Day. Then after that, it's generally a lot of loafing, a walk in the park, laundry, maybe some class prep for the coming week.

same thing i do everyday, waste my life away. but since it's your sabbath, why not do some self-directed worship? i don't know what that involves, maybe a prayer or something. the great thing about self-directed worship is you don't have to do all the ritual stuff. although you could break open a bottle of wine and a cake and pretend you're taking communion ;)

On rare occasions when we couldn't get to a church, my family would hold a prayer service at home.
But currently, since I attend church on Sunday evenings, my Sunday morning is generally spent sleeping until I have to go to work and meetings.

Not going to church isn't the end of the world. Personally I think a personal relationship with God is more important than a collective one in church, but church is good for opening up with both people and God.

Well, I'll admit I wasn't too sure about her. Not that she was a Satanist, but whether or not she meant real Satanism or some sort of whiny-goth-emo Satanism to piss off her parents. I don't care what a person says they are, as long as they mean it.
And yeah, she is a really cool friend so far. (Our friendship is only a week old mind you, but it's still pretty cool so far) and I'm glad to have broadened my horizons.
Becoming her friend kinda gave me an epiphany, that I just don't care what people believe as long as they believe it and leave me the hell alone. I had never even thought along those lines before, and just the idea of rejecting her as a person or as a friend because of what she believes would have been stupid. So, even though I was honestly very accepting before, I'm even more so now and glad of it! :D

well, of course it is, I am just out of my element today, did you guys know there isn't anything good on TV on Sundays? :(
To be fair, there's nothing good on telly the rest of the week either.
Sunday is spent doing the things you should've done on Saturday and have to do before Monday, usually. Plus a trip to the supermarket (there's often loads of reduced stuff just before they shut at 4pm, which is the only positive aspect of the silly Sunday closing rules) and, on the way (if I've saved up enough bottles and cardboard) a trip to the recycling centre.
But this week I got a new(ish) car! For free! It has electric windows and everything :)
I usually wake up at 8 a.m. and eat breakfast, shower, and read the newspaper. The rest of the day is spent online, playing computer games or when college is back in session, finishing up homework. Once a month my mom drags the rest of the family to church only when she has to read verses from the bible to the congregation.

What do you guys do on Sunday?
Well, on this Sunday morning with ice and sleet all over everything I got up about 8:30, put the fixings for the stew in the crock pot, turned the pot on, and made some coffee. Then the wife and I went out to the garage. I walked across the ice to the woodpile and threw some more wood into the garage. We then brought some wood in the house and stacked it by the fireplace. I also de-iced the windshield of the car so it won't be as thick tomorrow morning. Stew and biscuits by a warm fire tonight. :)
I feel sorry for the people in Muskogee and McAlister. They are getting all the freezing rain and it is taking down the trees and knocking out power. At last report over 16,000 people in Muskogee were without power.
Here in Tulas we have been getting mostly sleet so it isn't sticking to the trees and power lines. There is however about three inches of ice on the ground with more expected today and tonight.

Let me get this straight: You guys slept in, ate candy for breakfast, and watched TV, and you're complaining? You didn't even have to go to church! Sheesh, you people and your "problems"... :p
I, on the other hand, overslept until 12:05 PM, and right after I got up, I had to straighten up the house, vacuum, and do a kitchen full of dishes, all before even eating breakfast. I'm eating now, but it's a bowl of chicken soup, and I've found several bones in it. Needless to say, I'm eating it very carefully.
As for what I usually do on Sundays... Well, it's not much different than what I said above, except I usually don't have a goddamn kitchen full of dishes to do, and I wake up at around 8:30 AM most of the time. I'll wake up, take a shower, check my e-mail, open MSN to see if anybody's on, and post here. After getting tired of it in about two hours, I'll go play my guitar for about an hour and a half straight, then ride my bike.
There's not much more of note, really. I don't have my own phone, so I can't call any of my friends (which I now have, oddly enough) to see if they're busy. So yeah, my Sundays are usually pretty lame, and they definitely ready me for the work week.

Same here. That's why people my age (~19) have various friends they can call and do stuff with during the day (and possibly night). Of course, I don't have a phone, so...
...And seriously, get out of Oklahoma. Just living there is enough to bore anybody to death. I spent three days there, and I wanted to fucking die.

At the moment, I wash dishes from 10 onwards.
If my Sundays were free, I would probably get up at about 9, have a continental breakfast, then walk to the shop for the Sunday Telegraph, and thoroughly relax.

Rather like my little bro who I now consider to have a frozen brain. He got up and went hunting in his tree blind yesterday morning - in minus four plus wind chill weather.

what? I was merely pointing out a fact, a little bit of trivia if you will, which doesnt warrant that pathetic little insult.
Love thy neighbor falls under New Testament as well as Old Testament. I misspoke though, I'm sorry. You're right, there was no point for the insult.

It was told in a Jewish sermon, true, but that doesn't refute its nature as a piece of good general advice.
My Sundays these days are spent studying and rehearsing/singing at evensong. Fun stuff. ¬_¬;
thats definately true, as a piece of advice it is one I think people should pay more attention to

As Ive read Paul in his gospel extended love thy neighbour to include gentiles but it was originally jews that Jesus was talking about.
What do you guys do on Sunday?
10:00 am = Wake up. Spend 10 minutes having a staring contest with my slippers, which are on the other side of the room and are therefore not helpful in protecting my tender feets against the very cold floor.
10:10 am = Get up. Pee.
10:12 am = Check the news to make sure the world didn't blow up over night. Stick head out of window to verify that the weatherman was wrong AGAIN.
10:15 am = Turn on Wii Sports and engage in brief morning calisthenics.
10:30 am = Juice. Lots of juice. Read the funnies.
10:45 am = Inform lover that he is now awake and going to come to the market. Receive vague mumbled promises of violent retribution for waking him.
11:00 am = Grocery shopping (with surly lover in tow). Buy lots of cookies and stuff to make those awesome tacos later tonight.
12:00 = After putting away the groceries, bust out the frozen pizza and turn on the Playstation. This week's selection is Ultimate Alliance. Fight over who gets to be Spiderman.
3:00 pm = After such a strenuous start to the day, unwind with a little quiet time. Curl up with a comic book and an Irish coffee. No, it is not too early to be drinking, thank you very much.
4:00 pm = Laundry really needs to be done. I mean, like, we're out of underwear.
5:00 pm = Folding laundry is more fun when you make a game out of it. Today's handicap: you can't use your hands.
5:30 pm = If we go out for a walk, we won't have to do the dishes yet. How about a stroll through Georgetown?
6:30 pm = Fine. Let's just do the damn dishes.
7:00 pm = TACOS!!
8:00 pm = Watch prime time cartoons. Heckle the animated characters.
9:00 pm = Romantic interlude. Cartoons still playing in the background.
10:00 pm = Nope, not quite done.
10:30 pm = "Okay, just one more cartoon, and then it's time for bed."
11:30 pm = "This time I mean it."
12:35 pm = Bed.
I have a feeling that we are not doing Sunday morning at home correctly.

Previous I'd get up at 8am so I could go paddling at 9am-11.30am. But now outrigger season has finished my usual Sunday is as follows:
Sleep in til 7am.
Get rudely awoken by cat mewling for food.
Get up, void myself and feed cat.
Go back to bed. Hopefully with warm content non-mewling cat snuggled up next to me.
Get rudely awoken at 10am by the Indonesians in the flat across the path holding their church service. Why Christians think off-key singing is pleasing to God's ear I have no idea.
Get up.
Have a shower.
Have coffee.
Have some breakfast.
Have another coffee.
Wait.
About 11am caffiene kicks in and I head off somewhere.

Yesterday we undecorated the Christmas tree and dragged it through the snow - the temperature was around 15F (-9C) - out to the alley so it can be picked up this coming weekend. Of course, that's not exactly a normal Sunday. During the season, there's always American football to watch. Depending on whether we were good about chores on Saturday, there are occasionally some of those to do, like dusting and vacuuming and grocery shopping and such. The Sunday papers take up a goodly amount of time, especially since we've started getting the New York Times delivered on Sundays. In warmer seasons there's always the garden to attend to.

Nope. They sacked a few people for being consistently hungover a while back, so I play it discreet now. :p

Alas, nope. If they still have tickets left, I might, but I don't have any friends who would really want to tag along, I don't think.
Anyway, the 28th is the Big Day Out festival, the 4th is Eric Clapton (maybe i've got those in reverse order...) and after that there's a few local acts i've been meaning to check out (there's a pretty cool stoner rock scene building up down here).
I was contemplating getting tickets for the April Blues and Roots festival (in New South Wales) but I noticed that the line up is shit and the week would cost me over $1000. So no. :p

let me help you, I am not typically home on Sundays, nor am I typically a "couch potato" so in the absence of routine, not being able to work, and being stuck in my house (literally) I was asking the couch potatoes what they do.

now being that you are "stuck" at home... something that only happens when I am sick... let me imagine what I would do if I was snowed in...

work/putter around the house/clean up.
if there is snow on the ground, play with hubby/kids in snow.
