A teacher is charged under a "peeping tom" law for videotaping girl's wrestling and zooming in on the crotches of the participants. Certainly the guy is some kind of pedo pervert, but I have a hard time believing he broke any laws. The event was open to the public and the article doesn't say videotaping it was against the law. The law he's charged with breaking was meant to protect people from being secretly spied upon with new, small video cameras. He recorded his videos in the open at a public event.

Under the law, filming a person without consent for sexual arousal is a felony.
Pretty broad law, nothing mentioned about it not counting in public.

Well, the question is, did he actually film it for sexual purposes, or was it really just an in-depth look at wrestling?

In Greco wrestling its pretty hard not to get excessive amounts of crotch shots.

And the law is excessively broad, if he is convicted he can probably get grounds for appeal if he attacks the law.
