I'm happy. This one kid at school who I hate, attempted to burn down the school. He started a fire in the trash can. He got expelled and is being charged with first degree arson. Of course, my friends and I think they should also charge him with about 2,000 counts of attempted murder and be tried as an adult. But that's just 'cuz we hate him.

In one of the high schools at my old nieghborhood there were eight-ish trashcan fires in one year. It was apparently a protest at the principal. No one was ever caught or punished. [/random anecdote to random thread]

I feel generic asshole stuff. Also bullied people for no reason. Although he wasn't very good at it, it was enough to seriously piss people off.

Yeah, but I think he's only serving a couple days in juvy. But he's still expelled, so I don't have to deal with him any more. It was really funny, everyone was cheering and I was running around hugging people (Note: If you have friends that are uncomfortable with homosexuality, it is REALLY awkward to hug them. That's why it's fun.)We REALLY hated him.

Another note: Not everyone who doesn't like hugs are homophobes some of us just have really big personal space and don't like strangers running up to us hugging us.

Because most likely he'll try to use you to get out of serving his sentance. Believe you and me when people set fire to buildings, it's not by accident.

Epicarcacy: if you want to use the precise term.

Usually, it is believed that Schadenfreude has no direct English equivalent. For example, Harper Collins German-English Dictionary translates schadenfreude as "malicious glee or gloating." An apparent English equivalent is epicaricacy, derived from the Greek word epichaerecacia. This word does not appear in most modern dictionaries, but does appear in Nathaniel Bailey's Universal Etymological English Dictionary (1727) under a slightly different spelling (epicharikaky), which gives its etymology as a compound of epi (upon), chara (joy), and kakon (evil).

a kid at my school blew both his kneecaps off when he tried to extract gunpowder from a railway detonator with an electric drill!
shame he didn't castrate himself as well - Darwin Award, anyone?
