Trish Stratus Proves she got balls.

Armed and Famous (http://imdb.com/title/tt0921875/).

Yeah, it's a reality type show where 5 stars(?) undergo training and get sworn in as Muncie Police officers (poor Muncie!)

the cast includes
Jason Acuña - Jackass fame
Erik Estrada - CHiPs fame
La Toya Jackson - Centerfold sister to Micheal and Janet
Jack Osbourne - yep, an Osborne...
Trish Stratus - WWE Female Wrestler (Retired)

of course, Mr Estrada is like "My experience with CHiPs puts me ahead of these guys, so I have an advantage" of course that makes sense when during the training where he's doing a routine traffic stop has him ordering the driver on his knees with his hands behind his head (he misheard a Suspended Infraction as a Suspended Licence.)

While it was funny to see Mr Acuna as he could barely see over his car door, he pulled his gun out on the driver before the driver did anything. (bad move)

Jack Osborn showed clear thinking as his Driver produced a pistol and Jack had to return fire (Jack ended up being the top shooter of the 5, impressing the firing range officer as he clustered his shots on the target nice and neatly.)

La Toya shot her driver as he sat in the car with his hands up. Which is amazing that she hit him when you consider that on the firing range, she completely missed her target 11 times with a full clip.

and Trish got shot with her own gun as it went off in her holster. (these were pellet guns, so no injuries all around...)

but the fun one was the taser exercise. According to what they say, in Indiana, one cannot own or operate a taser unless that person was tasered. so the 5 had to experience being tasered. They had two choices. 1) a pair of alligator clips were attached to them and the taser activated. or 2) they get shot with the taser darts.

of course, most of them took the clips. yes, most of em. Trish, opted for the shot. Her reasoning? "when the cops taser someone, they won't put the clips on, no they're shooting you with those darts."

so as two officers stood by, the instructor loaded the wired darts and shot her in the back and as the electricity coursed through her body, she was practically silent when compared to the others. (that's not to say you didn't see the pain she was experiencing.)

While it was an interesting program. I wished they showed more of the training (I would've love to see Acuna's session with hand to hand training, Trish's also.) before they were sworn in and sent out on patrol (with partners... of course.)

so what programs do you watch and want to rave about. Also, please give reviews and summaries of them.

The problem with this show is the word "famous" in the title.

hey, if they can get away using the word "Stars" for "Dancing with the Stars" then famous works.

I thought of including that one, too! At least on that show the women wear interesting costumes. :p

I watch Mythbusters and The Daily Show.
Mythbusters: They try to prove/disprove certain myths (such as if a human can do a 360 on a swingset while keeping the chains taut all the way around). After they complete this process, they blow something up.

The Daily Show: It pretty much speaks for itself.

I know I am continually griping about them, and hubby is like "quit watching it" but George is too cute, and poor Izzy, and I wanna see what becomes of Karev, and darn it I am hooked.

Exactly, how can one not enjoy Mythbusters?

The Daily Show.
I can't watch that on TV here, only online clips. :(

I watch

- House: Love it! Hugh Laurie is my imaginary boyfriend. As is Jon Stewart, but eh, one can never have too many imaginary boyfriends. *nods*

- Gilmore Girls: not as enthusiastically as I once did, more from a sense of loyalty

- Grey's Anatomy: don't care for it much but it's on between GG and House. Can't stand Ellen Pompeo whom I loved so, once upon a time, in Moonlight Mile.

- Six Feet Under: Final season started here only last week!  (If you spoiler me, I'll kill you. I already was spoilered re. The Death, so grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

- Lost: don't watch it on TV anymore, just too aggravating to be so far behind in the schedule; now I get the episodes from a friend.

ETA:Oh, and best show ever right after the Daily Show: Top Gear on BBC International! Wheeee! :)

I know, I feel the same way as in the last few months before I finally decided to quit smoking, I really hate this but I can't stop. :p The funniest thing is what a high, little voice Ellen Pompeo actually has. Watch the Golden Globes and see if she's interviewed, you'll laugh out loud.

That and Dirty Jobs. Dirty Jobs is also hilarious if only because it is a former Boston Opera singer going around doing the dirtiest jobs in the world.

Wow, I didn't know that. That changes the whole aspect of the show for me now. There was an episode on a while ago, and he was singing in some sewer holding tank, and I thought "Man, that guy can sing!. Now I know why.

I also like To Catch a Thief. I really can't tell you why. I think it's because the people who get their stuff taken always seem so surprised and angry. What did they think was going to happen?? They signed up for it! They knew their house was going to be robbed! Why get so angry? Argh.

I need to lie down now.

I watch Veronica Mars, Monk, the Closer, and Psych most often. These are detective shows, all of which are vastly superior to CSI.
I also occasionally watch the NBC Thursday Night comedies: My Name Is Earl, The Office, Scrubs, and 30 Rock.

Psych is crap but Monk is good.

"Lost", "Battlestar Galatica"..."Podge and Rodge" occasionally......"Never mind the buzzcocks", "Have I got news for you" and "9 out of 10 cats". I usually tape them and watch them later....Could never arrange the schedule to match with the TV - not since the next Gen, anyway.

I think I'm at my highest 'regular' capacity I've been at in a while, I watch:
Heroes, Studio 60, My Name is Earl, The Office (American, I watched the English one first, like both), Scrubs, 30 Rock, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, [adult swim], The Simpsons (and then by the rules of flow Family Guy and American Dad), when I'm around SNL, Mythbusters, when I remember or see it American Chopper, and finally, the show I'm most impressed with, Battlestar Galactica.

I blame my momentary cable free corridor where the only channel I got was NBC for the NBC heavy line up.

i love that show so much :D (am watching it online atm)

also used to love Scrapheap Challenge when it was on. man they should bring that back :(

edit: in answer to the OP, i hardly watch TV, and am not much of a fan of most series currently in production on TV (unless you count Mythbusters or 24 of course)... i tend to get DVDs of shows i like cos i have quite an addictive/intense personality, meaning once i get to like something i'll probably do it/watch it to death ;)
