THE SHINING: An inspirational film for the whole family.
Famed producer and 20th Century Fox founder Darryl Zanuck once claimed that he could edit raw film footage into any genre he chose. Sounds far-fetched right?
Well, take a look at these edited movie trailers:

Incidently, when filming The Shining (which I had the fortune to see on the big screen last Friday :) ), Kubrick went to great lengths to shield the youngster who played Danny from the fact it was a horror movie.
And when you watch it with that in mind, you see that there's almost no scene in there with him in it that is in fact scary.
It's from the awesome editing, camera work and use of music that makes it frightening.
