Napoelon Dynamite

How many of you like this movie, and how many of you hate it? I honestly say that I hate this movie. I mean My God, how long was the damn script? It must've been one page, and on that first page it must've said "Stumble through this movie." I've heard alot of people say that this was a "funny" movie, but honestly, I couldn't find any funny part. I also couldn't find this so called "plot". I mean I've watched Action movies that were better than this. I just don't see whats all the rave is about. It's just a horribly bland movie with bad acting, and no real plot, and def. no funny parts. So what do y'all think of this movie?

Where's the "I haven't seen it?" option?

However, since I do like cheesecake, I can vote appropriately. :)

Don't see it. Instead rent "Ferris Bueller's Day off".

Napoleon Dynamite is my most favourite movie.
I don't know why - I don't know where the plot is.
It doesn't really end properly, either.
But it just so endearing!
And highly quoteable.
There's just something about it...

There's nothing wrong with Napoleon Dynamite for me. I do think Ferris takes the cake though ;)

Ferris Bueller's day off is a classic.

I didn't laugh once during that entire movie...

...you can guess what I thought.

The best argument I've heard is that it's "quotable"...but what good is that when the quotes aren't even funny in context, much less out of context?

Probably the biggest waste of my movie watching time in the last five years.

I have a feeling I'll like it. I'm a little bit of stupid.

This movie doesn't even appeal to the stupids. Remember those little film projects you did (if you did any) back in grade school? Well this is how bad ND is.

I hated Napoleon Dynamite. 'Course, I also hated Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That was not funny nor classical in any way.

Since I have laughed quite often today at the Colbert Report and the Daily Show, my funny is in no way broken. I simply have different tastes. That movie was not in any way funny to me at all.

I loved Napolean D.

Its supposed to be ridiculous. the wheelie on the bike, the dancing, the 'vote pedro'. its silly silly silly and i love it.

only thing that confuses me is then is it supposed to be set? everyone is dressed like they are offa the eighties, but then he dances to Jamiroquai which is nineties.

but then people i say i have weird taste in movies. my favourite comedies are Aquatic Life with Steve Zissou and the Big Lebowski. so that can be used as a kind of comedy compass to compare your own tastes to mine - might guide you as to whether you'd like it or not.........

lol the uncle that always checks his own biceps............lololololololololol

I'll repeat...not once.

Two excellent and funny films.

Two words that cannot be used to describe Napolean Dynamite.

It's not actually funny.

There is very little to commend it beyond its being seen as "alternative", "wacky" or "zany".

I thought Dogma was infinitely better as a comedy.
