I blame the lack of posters on Pat Robertson. He had predicted that they would drop off the face of the earth because God had determined that we're a bunch of morally bankrupt, depraved sinners. He just forgot to make that public.

you are right, there isn't a lot happening here, although i've spend quite a lot of time on this forum the last couple of weeks (to my standards at least). but that's probably due to the exams, there is little else to do, except studying, but i'm not really motivated at the moment and i suck at the actual studying.

How's the law school thing doing?
First semester was really tough, because they really want to tear you down and build you up again in their image, but so much of this system goes contrary to my worldview that I was struggling. I got some good advice from my elders, to remember that I am learning a system, not a truth (even though most people here seem to thing that's exactly what they are getting...the TRUTH), and that it will help me to understand our laws better if only in comparison. So this semester, I'm picking things back up that I dropped in order to focus more on school, and chilling out a bit. Mark wise, I'm going fantastic :)

Yeah...basically I created this account for the express purpose of replying to this thread. If I'm forced to recreate a new account I'll do a more fun name, this was sort of tongue and cheek and was useful to respond here, so at least I can speak on behalf of my own thread =P

yeah - she has her 6th chemo treatment this thursday. She usually feels sickly a bit for a few days afterwards but the rest of teh two weeks she has between chemos finds her quite joyful and lively. She has been gaining weight rather than losing and has not once gotten sick and lost her lunch.

Her last chemo shoudl be around Valentines day and then a month later she will start on a month of daily radiation (excluding weekends).

Another wierd thing is that although the hair on her head has thinned (it was supposed to fall out completely so we shaved her head as soon as she saw some of it fall out a couple weeks after the first chemo) it is actually growing at a quick pace and none of the hair on teh rest of her body has fallen otu at all.

I wonder if it is because we are sorta health nuts and so her body is getting a lot of beneficial ingredients for cellular growth. I am pretty sure that her healthy lifestyle is what is keepign her feelign good thru all of this. Hm, I always assumed it was only the hair on the head that went - but even eybrows and lashes go sometimes, so I don't know why it's confined to the head area (when it is).

And yeah, living healthy certainly helps I'd guess. :)

Well, with her prognosis, there really isn't much to worry about anymore beyond financial issues ( except perhaps the radiation she will be getting which itself can give her cancer :( ). If we didnt have the support of friends, family, our places of employment as well as even one of my good clients, we could very well be living in the streets by now.

Whe I hear that many (if not most) people are about two paychecks away from living on the streets, I can see where they are coming from.
