I've been following the research on the guy with the bionic arm since the technology was used on monkeys a few years back. The whole idea of mind-machine integration may very well be the coolest thing humanity has done in a very long time. This, however, is something different.

The Journey to the Wild Divine is a videogame only in the loosest of definitions. Its gameplay takes input not from controllers, microphones or keyboards, but from your body's natural rhythms, such as breath and

heartbeats. Sensor clamps attach to your fingers and read your skin conductance and heart rate variability; by varying these physiological signs, you can control various elements in the game, from levitating a ball to creating a rainstorm. Essentially, you play the game with your mind, forcing your body, and the game, to do whatever you command.

Seriously, read that article. Set aside the hokey New Age decor and consider the shear implications of this kind of technology. Let your imagination run wild ‘cause frankly, the possibilities are pretty damn far out there.

Is there no interest in this sort of thing?

I mean, I know it isn't sensationalized/inflammatory/insulting but still... It's pretty nifty stuff.

Can't we atleast get a machine overlord comment? :D

does it involve sex? If it doesn't involve sex, there's not going to be much of a market for it.

Oh, and I welcome our Machine Overlords in all humility and submission. :p

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure linking one of those biofeedback things to your cock would yeald SOME interesting results.

Yeah, if I had one ...

Good man!
I guess I could put some sort of gender indicator in my profile or something, whatever ... :D

Woops! My apologies, I tend to assume masculine gender on the internet unless given reason to suspect otherwise. It's much, much safer. :p

Now I'm wondering what the female genital biofeedback device would look like...

Well, how would you know if someone doesn't put any indication of gender?

Hmm, what would the female genital biofeedback device look like, indeed? That depends on who designs it, I suppose. If a man designs it, it'll be incredibly uncomfortable to wear and the design will change every year. If a woman designs it ... the world will be filled with smiling, slightly distracted women and lots of frustrated, horny men.

How indeed? On another forum I frequent, we had a guy who everyone would have sworn was a women, and no one knew otherwise for over a year. Turns out he was a 19 year old Christian kid from California... I've been weary of the internet ever since.

And yes, you are most likely right on both accounts. Would be bloody interesting actually. Men would actually have to try harder for once... God forbid.

Well if a woman designs the female and the man designs the male they'd both be happy and have nothing to do with each other. Noone would procreate and men wouldn't do anything since everything they do is to please the opposite sex.

 If a man designs the male device it'll be too big to carry. :D

I really don't see how a game, no matter the feedback device, could make sex with a living breathing woman less pleasant. I mean, granted, not all of my sexual experiences have been the best, but I really like women. Living women.

And why did you feel it necessary to stress "living" women? Hmm?

I agree absolutely, I mean ... women or all sorts are just too ... well, they make my head swim, in a nice way, of course. :p

I dunno, it just seemed appropriate to stress living :p .

But I agree! I mean, I don't think a computer's feedback device is going to replicate going to dinner with an attractive woman who runs her hands through my hair. That shit is dynamite. I like the head-swimming sensation, setting close to a beautiful girl and smelling her perfume and that fluttery heart excitement and racing feeling you get as you two finally start to lean in to kiss.
...

I need to go take a cold shower.

"aw man... you mean you play this with your hand? that sucks!"

and can you imagine what you need to do for games like "Leasure Suit Larry" "Playboy: The Manson" and other games of a mature nature, and the new posibilities for The Sims... :D

I can just see people waiting outside the store to get The Sims...
