I've wanted a cat for a few years now and my dad is, allegedly, allergic to them. Not that a cat could live in our messy house...Anyway, do any dorms allow "pets"...namely cats?

no

and hiding a cat in a space that small would be cruel

youll have to wait until you can get off campus accomodations.

The dorms at my uni didn't allow pets. I know someone who had a fish, but nobody had cats or dogs.

Rare though you could always do the off campus apartment thing

Though our campus has some "on campus" apartments for Sophomores+ they were apartments the campus bought so they were in the dorms ... but 4 bedroom apartment style they allowed some

I could always claim the cat is from the 4th dimension and this is its form in our dimension....

Put a doily on it. Chances are, your cat will act like furniture during the day.

You really shouldn't use quotations there because it makes it sound like you're having a boyfriend or girlfriend stay in your dorm with you.

Remember, kiddies, proper grammar and spelling are always good things, because helping your uncle Jack off a horse is a nice thing, but helping your uncle jack off a horse is a crime.

And having a person in a space that small isn't?

I imagine in most dorms they would be banned because of the noise some make when confined for hours at a time while their owners are out, the fact that cat wastes have a distinctive and hard to get rid of odor if the box is not cleaned regularly and well, the liability the school might face for a bite/scratch incident, and the fact that some of the folks who live in the dorm will undoubtedly ALSO be allergic to cats.

Best to wait till you get your own place.
