Yeah, you're right. It's sad that things like that will be said maliciously to hurt his chances at the presidency. For the record though, his mom was white American, originally Christian, but with no real religious affiliation. His father was a black Kenyan, and a Muslim. His stepfather was an Indonesian, also Muslim. However, he raised to tolerate all religions, and never really raised in one. As he grew older, he joined the Christian religion by choice.

See, I don't understand that. Why wouldnt it be "color-blind"? Why is it "cool" to have a Black President of America, simply for being Black? Would it be "cool" to have a White leader of...Congo, just for being White in a majority black nation?

If the US had been controlled by blacks colonialists, then it would be cool to become the first white leader of the US.

There have been many white leaders in Black majority nations and it has never been a question of triumphing over the adversity that a black or mixed race American has had to triumph over.

It would also be "cool" to have a female president of the US. It's about all people having an equal opportunity, regardless of colour, sex, creed etc.

So damn straight it would be great if there could be a black president of the US.

What is the real problem that you have with multi-culturalism? Are you sure that you don't resent/have certain prejudices toward minorities? Just checking....
