Who here remembers what the site looked like before the makeover a while back? Before the "Nationstates" banner at the top and links in the side bar bit (don't know the technical term).

Ever since my lobotomy my memory just isn't what it used to be.

I have been here seemingly forever, but must admit I don't remember it looking any different than now.... (I thought someone slipped me a roofie, but I wasn't sure...this confirms it).

Nope, having never had it changed other than on Valentine's day (I hope it does this year, too!), I can't say I remember it any differently.

I seem to remember Max swiped the initial background from SimCity, although I have not a clue where I saw that. It had like skyscrapers and that. Are we talking about the forum, or the site?

I also remember the time on April Fools Day 05 when the Mods replaced the login page with a stern warning from the 'Department for Homeworld Security' :D

I remember this particular forum looking a bit different, but I wasn't around for the original forum. This one has changed skin slightly though, cos ever since then my ie refuses to let me login both my nation and my forum name at the same time. Right fucking annoying, that is.

it did not change then. It changed on all fool's day.

I remember the old forums...not sure if it was with this nation or a previous one (which would have been a 2003 one, pity I let it lapse...), but the forums were pretty cool. Never worked, but they were cool.

Not as good as when they reset everyone's population back to 5 million in order to rectify the population bug the year before.

:eek: I couldn't remember the old forums, but those pictures reminded. I remember I used to glance at who was online to see if there was anyone interesting who would bother to reply to my posts. So ocassionally I wouldn't bother if I didn't see anyone I found interesting.
