What does everyone think of Myspace? Love it or hate it? I think I want to use it for networking. Who has the BEST Myspace?

Mine is... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=61676148

I don't use it, partly because I don't have the time, partly because I don't care.

I hate myspace simply because it is a terrible excuse for a website , I mean why would complete strangers want to read stuff about you. Myspace is just completely pointless other than if it's between you and your friends even then I wouldn't want to go and read a website about my friends since I already know them pretty well.

Networking.

"Networking": what you tell the boss you are doing when she catches you with your hand in your pants and fifteen tabs of MySpace open.

Not me. I actually choose to use it for networking. What's with those blonde, slutty, porno-esque myspacers, anyway?

hate it. "thou shalt not have a myspace" should be an NSG commandment.

I have one. It's an easy way to communicate with friends you don't get to see as much, get to know acquaintances better, find some decent bands, etc etc.

Yes a lot of people on myspace are annoying posers. Get over it. The entire internet is populated by annoying posers of one variety or another, you're gonna have to learn how to co-exist.

I have never personally used myspace....however, I happened to be over at my brother's place yesterday with some of the guys, and they took turns looking up each other's ex-girlfriends to see who got disgusting or went all lezbo....

for entertainment purposes, I would say thumbs up...

Myspace is every reason why some people should be neutered. If that's what their webpage looks like, imagine their taste in clothing!

Believe it or not, I found a very good friend of mine on MySpace (he was my neighbor for almost three years). I'll probably make my own MySpace sometime soon just because of that.

it really is. though that is probably because it has like 60 bajillion people on it and the code just can't always keep up. especially since it seems that news corp is only interested in keeping it barely functioning in order to maximize profits. which is something of a shocker, i know.

I mean why would complete strangers want to read stuff about you.

Ha, I'm friends with one of those girls. She uses it in her work i.e. modelling, working as a dancer and the occasional strip club, as she'll give potential employers her link.

As for myspace, I got one to talk to friends. However, I since discovered facebook, which is amazing for uni students.

Some girl just made a myspace for me. She designed it and gave me the password, but I can't remember it. I've only went on it once in a couple of weeks, I'm just blindly trusting she's not making me look insane...

Get the attention of many people, who will then pay good money to watch her do whatever it is she's offering to do. It's free advertising.

There is nothing wrong with MySpace. It's a social networking site like any other, just more popular then most (e.g. MSN, Yahoo, Friendster, etc...) but still inferior to Facebook.

Personally though, I can't stand the horrid design of most MySpace pages and kept that in mind when I made mine. I never got around to writting a solid About Me though.

I like myspace because i can talk to all my friends over the summer, overall they're okay as long as you don't talk to any one u don't know and privetize ur profile

The problem with MySpace is the creep factor. Check this out (http://www.sarahxdylan.blogspot.com/). Read the thursday post and the comments, then look at the dude's profile. He's changed it since he's been talked about on the PDX airwaves, but it's still all kinds of creepy. I had a similar experience within the first week of having a Myspace. I didn't put where I worked, but based on my friends my creep found me and started calling me at work. It still gives me the oogies thinking about it.

MySpace does have it's value. It yields very interesting news stories.
