I have a two blogs (that I know of), one is only known by my friends (who don't read it anyway) and an random person that wanders in. The other is completely empty (so you wouldn't want a link to it). That's the way I likes it.

I update when I get a chance. Plus, I prefer to only update when I can whine about how the federal Tories are jackasses.

So... it should be updated.

I would have posted my Salvia Divorium experiences, but I don't think it fits my blog's framework.

Sorry to disappoint. The real one was very like it, though. The essay question was "How did Canada change over the 20th century," and I was like, "I get one page to write about this??!!"

We got "How did the Great Depression affect Canada politically, economically, and culturally" last year. I was tempted to bang my head on my desk right in the middle of the examination. But the English ones are worse. *groan* :headbang:

At least that's not as broad. But, you're right about the English. I've got less than a month to prepare for English 12, and I'm dying!

Me too. We're probably going to take the same exam then. I swear the Ministry of Education picks the most insanely general and boring topics they can imagine, just out of spite because we have futures and they don't. And on top of that, they're high all the time.

Lol. Never heard that before, but I'm willing to believe it. And, yes, we'll be writing the same exam; everyone in the province writes the same one. Well, good luck!

With that whole portfolio crap they pulled out of their ass, nobody's surprised that they're high. Fracking portfolio.

The English ones aren't too bad. You get choices and most of them at least give you some direction.

But, when I did my English exam, they had 6 different exams (numbered A-F), and each class was supposed to have an equal mix. Then they averaged the marks, and scaled them.

Oh, that's easy. You guys had a good topic too. Ours in grade 10 was "explain how you can learn things from unexpected sources".

OK. That is redicerus. I've never seen a question that bad. But I still think that my question was bad too. You shouldn't be able to answer your essay question with one word.

30 Essay topics, you get to chose from 5. Unless they changed it, which is possible.

Yeah, I think I got a C+ on that exam for the reason that I failed that essay. Hell, the only thing I was thinking the entire way through was "let me out of here already". Do you still remember your topic?

I really thought they only give you one topic and you have to write about it. But if there's choice, I would die of happiness.

My topic was "Dreams are voyages" because it was the least unbearable.

They need a topic like "One time at band camp.." or "When I was playing WoW"

What what about us without testicles? God, if they give us a topic about shoe shopping, I would personally go into the Ministry of Education and murder the person who comes up with these topics.

Well, I wouldn't know. Still, can't the essay topics be debates, like "should be allow capital punishment". That'd be so much easier, and it would force ignorant kids to learn stuff and become more educated.

Nah, they'd just have to resort to making up facts.

But it would be easier for the non clueless types out there.

The English exams for uni have much better topics. Mine was about Intertube censorship.

I had to write a short essay about the intertubes in general, I got full marks. Basically it was rubbish, it was about how the internet isn't reliabe, and about how it isn't a series of tubes. It had to have a diagram, I drew a series of tubes and put as the caption "The internet is not a series of tubes".:)

You need two English courses to grad. A first year essay writing course, and a second year technical writing course.

English AP will cover the first year course, but if you do your first year outside UBC/UVic they will knock your GPA down when considering you for a transfer.

You need credit for FY English and APSC 201 to grad. Eng AP should cover FY, but you have no way out of that APSC 201.

Aren't I fun?
