Typical combinations include: Pepperoni and mushroom, chicken and broccoli and hawaiian(ham and pineapple).
I don't really care for a smorgasbord of toppings.

Thick crust with cheese in it, and then a bunch of meat on the pizza. It's not food unless something suffers (totally kidding, please don't kill me).
Or, garlic chips-instead of sauce you use garlic spread (failing that butter and garlic powder) and cheese and then cut into squares. In this case thin crust is okay.

you know I miss deep dish pizza, can't get that anymore, it just won't work, no matter what I try. ;)
Totonno's pizza or Grimaldi's is my favorite pick of the bunch. Pizza anywhere outside of the NY metro is just plain depressing. I'll give it to chicago as I can enjoy a great deep dish every now and again. Pizzaria Uno does well for Chicago style deep dish in our area. Of course being a traditionalist I'd go with the one Fram put up there in his pic. A Tasty Sicilian pie is good bang for your buck but nothing beats the old coal and brick fired ovens.

I like both American and Italian pizza styles, though I find sometimes I'm not hungry enough to eat all of a deep-pan one, too much dough and grease. In terms of toppings, I like most but generally go for spicy ones.
I heard a really stupid thing a while ago from my aunt - she had been talking to an American friend and the topic had come onto food and the origin of pizza had come up, and this guy had refused to believe pizza was Italian, instead believing it to be an American invention. What an idiot, especially considering half my aunt's family is from Naples, the place it was first made.
I only seem to like pizza if I make it. Which i've done, and it usually ends up quite tasty (plus I don't have to limit my choice of toppings, etc. to whatever the pizza place offers. Instead I have to limit it to what's in my fridge.)

Back bacon is a lean meaty cut of bacon.
"Canadian bacon" is a term used in the United States and Canada, but with differing meanings. In the United States it refers to any lean meaty cut of bacon, but in Canada, "Canadian bacon" refers to a specific variety of unsmoked lean bacon that has been sweet pickle-cured and coated in yellow cornmeal, which is also known as "peameal bacon".

Probably cayenne, or some other hot pepper. It's pretty good, actually. In the US, the spiciness will vary by region. On the East Coast it's less spicy, whereas in the West (Colorado, where I live) it can be quite spicy. Influenced by Mexican food and tastes, I suppose.

The stuff in Colorado was noticeably less spicier than the stuff here in Texas, so be careful if you ever come down this way.
Of course, in the Corpus Christi area, it's very mild compared to the pepperoni you'll find in the rest of the state. Then again, where I grew up (Port Aransas), you could call it the North of the South, as there are many people from the Northeast (mostly New England) and the Midwest.
The pizza places in Port Aransas are some of the best you'll find in the entire state, and one place in particular (though not exactly a pizzeria/pizza parlor) has a cook from Connecticut who makes truly outstanding pizzas. He's been working there for twenty-something years... Good guy. He doesn't get enough credit for his work.

I just googled "homemade pepperoni" and got quite a few recipes. A number are from makers of different kinds of food products, like Morton Salt, for instance. And most I saw are in American measurements (cups and teaspoons and pounds) and not in metric, but I think converting wouldn't be very difficult.

It's because of Canadian bacon that I don't like ham on my pizza. I remember ordering pizza...somewhere...and, seeing Canadian bacon as a topping and not knowing what it was--thinking that, due to the name, it was a neat type of bacon--I ordered it as a topping. Then it turned out to be ham and that seriously pissed me off due to disappoint, and ever since I've hated it on my pizza.
