I found this a very enlightening, and also hilarious, exposition by a comedian on the history of oil and how it translates to major conflicts in the last century. His interesting, and also very probable, "eurodollar" theory of why Iraq was invaded is one of the more salient points (even if I find his theory on the start of WW I intriguing as well), so if you haven't the time to watch to whole thing, fast forward to around 21.5-22 minutes.

I guess all one can do is laugh. :\

Oh, I've been on 28 mbps for so long I keep forgetting what's it's like for those less fortunate. ;)

I hope you persevere. I think it's worth it.

3mb. As soon as we switched to telus, shaw uped there speed to 10mb. :headbang: Only 2.5 years left on the contract...

How much does 28mb cost ya? Shaw has 25mb for $95 CAD a month, but are prolly gouging because they are the only one to offer a rate that high to home users.

249 SEK per month, which is ~$42 CAD/€27,5/$36 US. Flatrate (I don't think there's anything other than flatrate in this country; I saw one deal that had download caps four years ago, but I haven't seen one since).

My deal isn't even the cheapest one out there. My sister has 28 also, and she pays around 200 SEK, ~$34 CAD/€22/$29 US. There is a comparatively high state of competition in the ISP market, but the Swedish government, for one, is not happy with it and has threatened action, so I look forward to better deals in the future.

And, yes, Sweden is full of bastards.

You shouldn't. From what I gather they're going through a rough patch. I think the man is being cuckolded.

... I don't live on a street, per se. I live on a square, one could say. So I guess you could say "the people one the other side of the plaza".

Finally finish watching it. Jolly good show. His WWI theory sounds remotely plausible; much better than what we learned at school.

Pretty good ending too.
