Eh.. no major landmarks anywhere near where I live, except the prison, which looks like:

and maybe the dam, which looks like:
http://www.usacivil.skanska.com/files/Yeager%20Skanska/Prado%20Dam%201.jpg
But there's some nice spots here, and some tall buildings about 40 miles away, so that's neat.
Well, these are somewhat unrelated, but I recall Leonstein lamenting the absence of snow around Christmas here in an earlier thread -
So, this isn't quite the same, but it's the closest i've ever come to seeing any. My yard on Christmas morning.

Bovingdon Airfield (http://www.damir.co.uk/images/aviation/airfields/bovingdon.jpg)
A lot of stuff was filmed there-there's a film called "626 Squadron" (or something like that),also there's a BBC intro with people jumping up and down at a festival-that was filmed there too. Also, the British program Top Gear and Brainiac have done filming there too,and it's about 100 metres from my house. But it's used for a Saturday market as well.(I used to work there).
Also,I live about 4 miles from the site of the Buncefield blast.

Where I live is a beautiful little town called Aberystwyth. The sea is to the west of the town and thus confers upon the town some of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen.

San Francisco probably looked its coolest this morning when I drove my friend to the train station. There was a low layer of fog that came up to the bottom of the bay bridge but stopped short of Treasure Island, where it was sunny. The skyline was just visible above the fog, including the top of the Golden Gate. Alcatraz was completely obscured, though.
My friend took pictures but I don't have them, so you'll all just have to take my word for it. There really isn't any need to post a picture of the San Francisco skyline, I'm sure you've all seen it...

How did you manage to make Bangor look attractive? Acadia or Baxter State Park, yes, but Bangor? I'd post some pictures from here in Orono, but the idea of the thread is to show how beautiful your town is, and I figured pics of Ths Student Union would kind of throw that idea out.
