Yeah, the title was just something that I knew would attract attention. I just wanted to make an inquiry: What the frack is up with all the posts targeting sexual orientation? For the love of (insert your preferred deity here), if you try to make a post that debates sexual orientation, you're just asking for trouble! It's like flypaper for fucking trolls! Besides, once you've seen one, you've seen them all. Either you have people who are in favor of it and give an insightful anecdote about it, or you have others that simply use the the debate as a means to get their sarcasm jollies for the day and give no useful contribution to the issue, or you have the fundies who can't seem to grasp that idea that religion is not a form of government!

Every time that I see a new post that incorporates the words "homosexual" and "gay," I get the sudden urge to slam my face down on my desk multiple times while chanting the eternal mantra, "Why, why, why?!"

Pardon my while I go curl up in a corner and rock back and forth until the aliens come and take me home.

lol, I'm in favor of it, dear. I'm a dancing queen...just not so good on the dancing part.


And I do understand that this is a forum where people debate things. But it's not like Congress debates the same...my illusion has just been shattered, of course Congress debates the same issues again and again. Well, in any case, any PRODUCTIVE establishment doesn't debate the same topic over and over again. Of course, NationStates is a spare time kinda thing anyway, so in that aspect, productivity isn't really high on the priority list. Also, I can agree with others to just ignore those posts and not even open them, but it seems like my hands drags the mouse over that link and clicks it frantically. On one of the previous gay marriage fiascoes, I saw a picture of a man with his hand clamped tightly over his face, and the text on the picture said, "Must not feed the troll!" I think I'm kinda like him.

BLARGH!! Oh, well. C'est la vie. And as to my misspelling of "frak," lo siento. I've only seen a couple of episodes of BSG and have never seen the word written out on any fan forums or anything. I'm an Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis junkie. :D
