That's what I said. Not Barack either. We should run someone to give us power, not to "push the bar". Sad as it is, we're not gonna win with a black guy or a woman. Even if the black guy is jesus, we won't win.

So is Dennis Kucinich. I give Hillary slightly better odds.

I think Hillary is going to come out of the primaries on top.

I don't want her to, but I fear that she will, anyway.

I desparately want to see a woman president, but for the love of god, not Hillary or Condaleza (sp).

It is always sad to look at all these nobodies, mainly old white guys, putting their names in the hat, because you know they have no chance to achieve their dream.

What about Denzel? or Morgan Freeman? Everyone loves them. Or David Palmer from 24. Jim from neighbours could be vice president.

I'd have to say John Edwards can take Hillary. I think if John Edwards ran for president at the last Presidential Election he probably would have won if it weren't for him being under the likes of Kerry. (pure speculation on my part)

Unfortunately you are correct, but not because they will "push the bar". but simply because they are a black man (mixed race, but black nonetheless) and a woman. A large majority of Americans (attention Red Staters) are still too ignorant and small minded to even dream of the idea of either a woman or a black person in such a position of power. I hope I'm wrong and Hillary wins.

Kerry totally held him back. In either case, It is still too early to make any specualtions. The political climate has not yet shifted well enough for either party to find their lead yet. With that said, my personal prediciton for the GOP:

RUDY.

You have a lot of faith that the wingnuts in the GOP will vote for a guy who's pro-choice and pro-gay rights. I don't--not that I'd vote for the fucker anyway.

That's what I was saying. It doesn't help that Hillary is considerably left-of-center.

Yes! Parker! And Mr. Big!! I love Yaphet Kotto!!

Live and Let Die.

Three serious contenders. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards.

I genuinely think Hillary should play kingmaker. Given her as nominee, I would support her.

Nonetheless I think it will be Edwards or Obama (if he runs).

Kerr is an honorbale wan, I like Edwards, but I still hope Kerry will run again. he has spirit and for your comment on Kerr, it is harder to run with a multi-million dollar hate campaign against you.

Who will be the Democratic Presidential Candidate for 2008?

I pretty much already know that I'm voting 3rd party...so I don't care.

None of the potential candidates from either party have done anything to convince me they are worth voting for. The only one I would conceivably support is Obama, and I'd much rather he serve at least one full Senate term before throwing his hat in.

Libertarian or Green...most likely Libertarian.

How can you be torn between Libertarian and Green? I mean, there have been some attempts to incorporate environmentalism into the libertarian movement (saving the earth through property rights etc.) but for the most part, the two parties don't have much in common.

I'm not torn...and I know the two parties have few similarities. My vote has nothing to do with the platforms of either party, and everything to do with the fact that I'm sick and tired of Republicans and Democrats.

I'll look at the candidates the Green and Libertarian parties run. Whichever I feel would do a better job as President will get my vote.

I simply stated I would be more likely to vote Libertarian because I agree with more of their stances, but I wouldn't mind voting Green either if they ran a good candidate.

Anything but the same old song-and-dance!!!
