I beleive in the Apollo moon landing conspiracy because there is so much proof!!!

Just see a film about it.

Anyway, here is a place to discuss it!

Just because what we saw on television was filmed in a studio doesn't mean that an actual landing didn't happen.

You fail so unbelievably hard. But since I'm feeling generous I'll give you a few tips on how not to look like an idiot on NS.
Don't make a thread about a conspiracy while your other thread on a different conspiracy is still on the first page. If you want to discuss a few different conspiracies, then make one thread.
If you have proof then show us it.
Not that you did in this post, but never ever use the noob smilies, i.e. :mp5: :sniper: :upyours: or:gundge:

And the Soviet KGB never found a single ounce of evidence to support the theory (that they'd much like to beleive) that the Apollo space missions never left Earth orbit?

This is the late 1960s we're talking about. The KGB was in its prime, the Cold War was at its height.

The Soviets would have every intention of disclosing a hoax, instead they sent congratulations and wrote of the landing on the front page of Pravda. What does that tell you?

A much more interesting (and effective!) troll would have wrote something about how he/she believed that the Nazi's landed on the Moon in 42' and established a base where they communicated with Aliens who will one day return with Hitler to establish a fourth Reich!

This reminds me of a visit I made to the American Museum of Natural History and the Rose Space Center.

After sitting down and watching a movie about black holes, my companion told me as we walked out of the planetarium, "They got that wrong."

I was of course curious about what they'd gotten wrong, and this person told me, in complete seriousness, "Well, on Star Trek they said...."

Yes. Fiction writers hold the key to the secrets of the universe, and the preeminent minds of the scientific community know nothing about their field.

So you're saying the Soviets are in on the 'conspiracy' as well? If the Soviet KGB knew, why haven't a single report surfaced after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the KGB? Intelligence organs generated a lot of paperwork for all their findings back in the day.

I remember a few years ago when they ran a special on Fox about the idea of NASA having faked the moon landings, and they had this guy who claimed to be a photography "expert" who certified hands down that the photos were fake, based on a bunch of criteria like the absence of stars in the sky, the shadow directions, backgrounds, etc. They had very little content that refuted it. Essentially, it was meant to get you to question the whole thing.

After doing a little research, every single one of the proofs the guy offered were ridiculously easy to account for, and should have been obvious to even the most novice photography student. Clearly this guy was making it up and playing on the ignorance of the general population.

As a punchline, he reportedly sued Astronaut Jim Lovell for referring to him as a "moron" in an interview. As I understand it, the case was dismissed since Lovell could very easily turn around and countersue the guy for defamation, being as he would have been implcated in such a "conspiracy."

Precisely. It wasn't until bald Goby came along in the 1980s that reforming and peace approaches started.

Meh. If the Soviets started their lunar landing program earlier (say, 1963ish) and they had a serious heavy booster (the N-1 was not comparable to the Saturn V in terms of dependability). They probably would have landed a man first. They did take the other prize of building the first true space station, the Saluyt series if I remember correctly.

Ok, so the aliens conspired with the Nazis to take Hitler and other top Nazi Party members to their underground cities on Mars. Their intent is to wait until the Middle East boils over into a full-blown war. At that point the Nazis and aliens will invade the US and Europe. They will form an alliance with the Middle East to take over Asia. After the US, Europe, and Asia are conquered the Nazis will turn on the Middle East and take that over. Then it will be a simple task for them to move on to Africa, South America and the last bastion of democracy in Australia and New Zealand. ;)

You happy with this actual conspriacy? :p

Ah, so that is why I was recalled from leave to report to my base in Florida. I helped defend America against a feline invasion that would have tied us up with their thread, stop the rain and cause drought, and cause sever allergic reactions with daises pollen. I'm a hero. :D
