Batman - because he has no superpowers. He's just a clever guy with good fighting skills and some neat gadgetry. ( he's a bit screwy but who isnt? I've never met anyone who was completely sane)

Spiderman is a close second.

Least Favourite - Superman - dumb as a stump and indestructable with loads of superpowers, far too easy in my book. (yes yes I know theres "Kryptonite" but its so rare it may as well not exist.. besides it's not killed him yet).

Wierd sense of Deja-Vu on this thread though.. wasnt there a poll on it and it was longer? :P

Going to a talent show and jumping three inches in the air does not make you a superhero.

I'll go for Captain Obvious
Well, I think Captain Obvious has got a little something to say.
I'm not really a superhero. I'm just a name given to people who state obvious things.

Spiderman because I really like the back story.

I like Batman because he doesn't have any special powers, but I really don't like the back story or his attitude......which leads me to Superman whom represents everything good, but is way too powerful to the point that it makes him not a hero.......I mean who needs courage and conviction when you are the man of steel?

How'bout the Green Lantern? He doesn't have any powers other than his ring. Granted that's pretty-phreaking powerful, but still, he's awesome. Personally though, I'd have to say my favorite superheros have to be the Young Avengers. No one gives them any credit, but they're still badass.

Yet able to halt a tank column with a single star...and he doesn't have any superpowers...!

Are you talking about Ghost Rider (http://www.mk1.co.nz/media/feb%20week%203/ghost%20rider.jpg), or are you talking about Knight Rider (http://www.bluecamel.org/files/images/_Knight%20Rider%20and%20Arnold%20Jackson.jpg)...?

I'm going to guess Ghost Rider, and if you'll excuse for a moment the kind of fanboy rant I usually despise, here's why the movie is going to suck, outside of having Eva Mendes in it...

Nick Cage describes the character as someone who gets this power from the devil but turns it on the devil and uses it for good.

Nooo, Nick...that character is Spawn. Mephistopheles keeps his promises to Johnny Blaze-he wants to save his uncle from cancer and he does, his uncle dies in a motorcycle stunt. He wants vengeance for being betrayed and he's given the very spirit of vengeance. He is confronted with his own desire and every time he gives himself over to vengeance he loses a part of himself to the vicious spirit of vengeance itself. It's one of the great superheroes because it problematizes the idea of heroes in general, the desire for violent justice.

Cage just turned him into biker Spawn. Lame.

So, that's a favorite superhero, obviously. And The Shadow and Spiderman.

Which Green Lantern, though? Alan Scott, Hal Jordan, John Stwart, Guy Gardner, or Kyle Rayner? Mind you, any of them could beat Superman in ten seconds flat.
As for the Young Avengers, I'd really prefer if people didn't nominate teams. This is for individual superheroes.

I like watching Justice League when they have some building smashing superbadass villain and most of the time the first thing you see is Batman running straight at it. Balls.

I also like the way they handled that unreasonable power thing with Silver Surfer, he just became dispondent and detatched. He'd wander about in some sort of super-self pity philiosophical internal monologue while some bad dude is desperately trying to get his attention and only blast the hell out of the guy as an after thought when he got annoying to the Surfer. Just the kind of dick you'd expect that power to create.

Hmm. One-on-one, I'd think Norrin Radd could easily block Xavier - that being said, I think Xavier could get past Radd's defenses if there were enough else to preoccupy the Surfer (but we're talking more than just the X-Men distracting him, to be sure).

Nah, the current Batwoman is a remaking of some character from the Silver Age. Batgirl went evil in some amazingly poorly written story that was apparently written by someone completely unfamiliar with the character. It was the equivalent of someone writing a story where Superman had no powers and was a serial killer.

The only superhero I like is spider man. I dont like X-men, batman, Superman or any of that shit.

What I like about Spider man is that there is a good plot behind it. The guy has to work, get dates, take care of his grandma, and in the time between that, saves the world.

Superman is imortal, can fly, can go back in time, everything. Boring.
Batman is rich. And that is it. Boring.
X-men is stupid. Take dozens of people with superpowers and get them together, and that is it.

At least spider-man is more "realistic", if one can say so.

Or, in the spirit of the question, the ULTIMATE THOR. Spiderman was always shite - endless agonising about whether or not he wants the role and then foiling a street robbery. Less interesting than an anal fistula. Thor fought World Eaters like Galactacus.
