Probably Europa Universalis II if you're playing as any of the Native American tribes.

Worst. Final Fantasy. Ever.
I have never actually played it, that is because I have only spent an hour and a half at a time trying. The game doesn't even fucking begin until over an hour of unskippable text and gibberish.

I vote Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced the most boring game ever made.

I do, actually. The characters are better, believe it or not (Balthier has to be one of the best characters ever). The music is also better, the battle system is literally unmatched as far as RPGs go, and the story (along with the writing and voice acting) are top-notch.

It manages to kick an amazing amount of ass.

It's a typical Turn-based strategy/RPG game. I like FFTA because I like that genre. *goes off to play Fire Emblem*.

Also, Crystal Chronicles is worse than FFTA, but it's still not terrible. It just isn't fantastic.

I've only ever played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and I liked that.

That's like saying "I only watched Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and I liked that."

...

Okay, that's probably too harsh. FFTA has more good to it than ST5 had to it. Most Final Fantasy games are better, and have better plots, where as FFTA's plot was basically a fanfiction writer's dream comer true. "ZOMG I GO INTO WORLD OF MY FAVORITE VIDEO GAME!"

The Final Fantasies are classic examples of Eastern-style RPGs, and if they're not your style they can be pretty boring. I personally like them though. What I don't like is when people hold up a Final Fantasy game as a representative of all RPGs, which is simply not true. Western-style RPGs are completely different. They are also plot driven, but unlike Eastern RPGs, they are typically non linear, whereas Eastern are typically linear. Two completely different styles, though I happen to like both.

As for most boring game? Empire Earth. No question about it. I sat around for something like three hours just to go ahead by two ages in that game. Holy shit that was awful.

Yes, I know, but it effectively meant that there were only three tactics available, and they were entirely dictated by your race.

yes and no. It's true each race lent itself to a particular strategy, being the zerg crackling horde, the terran turtle or the protos armor/stealth push, but frankly a good player could overcome those pretty easily.

If you want to talk about boring FPS', let's talk about Doom 3. After the first few occasional shocks and scares, it's boring, and horribly cliche and ridiculous near the end. (Delta Labs Four walls covered nearly from floor to ceiling with blood, with words like suffer and die? Come on.)

That's debatable, as Sakimoto's score fit FFXII perfectly. I rate it as highly as any of Uematsu's work.

The fact is, they have different styles. Uematsu is more melodic, whereas Sakimoto seems to be much more subtle.

Personally, I can't get into the whole Final Fantasy thing, and for the most part don't enjoy (insert anime turn-based RPG) very much at all. The closest I've probably gotten is Dungeon Siege, and that was a hoot because it was dirty and gritty hack-n-slash. Once I get a new hard drive I think I'll reinstall that.

You'd probably like FFXII, as it plays a lot like Dungeon Siege on the combat... Only it's a lot more involved (less sitting back and watching).

Not nearly as click-heavy. Of course, Diablo II didn't hold a candle to Diablo in the clicking department. I nearly cheered when Diablo II allowed you to hold the mouse button down and attack continually.
