Has anyone else seen more spam than usual coming into your Yahoo! email account? I have and I think my sis has also. Anyone?

EDIT: No hate/anti-yahoo post please? No SWITCH TO GMAIL or any of that stuff...

Nope, my yahoo account is completely vacant, as it always is.

My yahoo account is now six years old and used for signing up for crap online, and as such, it's always spam encrusted.

I've had my Yahoo email account for almost 10 years (got it when my high school stopped it's internet service in 1997, a whole year after it started) and I get a ton of spam every day.

My Yahoo spam filter works pretty well, so I get a lot, but I rarely see it. Don't know if I'm getting any more than usual, but it's the same with my gmail accounts.

It works too good. It puts stuff I want in the bulk folder.

Gotta say Gmail has the best spam filter I've seen so far. I'll get thousands of spam mails before I'll get a single one in my inbox. Deleted four hundred spam messages over the weekend.

Hotmail has the worst, it doesn't catch half unless you set it to exclusive.

the only thing that goes to my Yahoo mail is spam........well, and emails from about 3 NSG people........although none of them have emailed me recently.

I don't really notice much about the flow of spam though......I just delete it.

I hate hotmail. It was my first official email and if you didnt login every 30 days or so, they wiped your mail out. I think they also signed me up for spam and I swear I saw an option that said "give my email address away" or something like that and when i tried to unclick it, it said "You have to be over 13 to do this." But shouldn't I be over 13 to get it?

I noticed my yahoo spam increased a while ago when the internet con spammers managed to get hold of my addy. It has decreased a lot lately though because the filter is catching more and more of it.

I try to be careful where I use my yahoo address though because it is my primary email. If I have doubts about the site, then I use the hotmail. That one has been an A grade spam magnet since I opened it.

Windows also likes to associate itself with any hotmail address you have. I use one for MSN Messenger and somehow, it started associating my comp and the email, which I never us.
