we killed alot of innocent civilians to us every civilian in bagdad was terrorist, we had already captured a terrorist in civilian clothes, that makes everyone free game, if they came with in our perimiter we blew them up; and when we would pull the body out and search the car, we would find nothing. This took place time and time again, no harm no foul. Its okay don't worry about it because this is a new type of war, this is an irradication. I honestly feel that we are comitting genocide over here, i dont believe in killing civilians and i'm not going to kill civilians for the United States marine corp.

Just a question but whats this thread about ? you just seemed to want to express you opinion on the detahs of iraqan civilians , the armed forces of britain and u.s fighting there have killed more than 10% of the total iraq population. Iraq economically and enviromentally was better under the rule of sudan BUT I support the iraq war.

To be fair, the accuracy rate in killing insurgents has been quite good. Of course they are civilians, but being a civilian doesn't automatically make you innocent, in this case, it is civilians who threaten to irradicate the innocent people of Iraq, and thus our armed forces are perfectly justified in stopping them.

But they can have a political conscience? They can also promote morality?

I'd have to say no. That is, no more than if someone took a John Lennon speech and played it backwards underwater, as the first post is about that intelligible.

Now, I'm not saying it is a bad thing to have a political conscience or to promote morality. Both are good things. But they should not be "taught" at the expense of proper language skills.

Anyway, what is funny is that, if you consider that a war, you couldnt consider the fighters as "terrorists", but as militia defending their country.

Well, everyone knows the US is there only because of oil. North Korea is 1000 times more dangerous than Iraq ever was, and the US seems to forget that. And what is even more funny is that the aleged reason why they waged war on Iraq is because they "HAD" weapons of mass destruction. Yet North Korea blows a atomic bomb for everyone to see, threatens the US and they do nothing.

Which means the "Iraq War" is actually the US stealing the natural ressources of a country, and the "Terrorists" are actually freedom fighters trying to defend their country and natural ressources anyway they can, while the US is trying to put a pupet government to play and make sure US gets the oil cheaply.

Nothing like an well-written, insightful thread on an original topic.

Indeed, on a scale of 1 to comic gold, it's right up there at the comic gold end.

But really, this has been debated about a million times, and far more intellectually than "it is bad".

And if you're in the USMC, you are doubtless going to kill a couple of civilians, even by accident, I'm afraid, it just sort of comes with the territory.
