Seeing as the old thread is gone, and very few people come anymore, I'll tell you.
Hit this link: gabbly.com/http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1227. Or go to General, and type gabbly.com in front of the URL (even the http:// bit)
You'll see NS General, and a chatroom window appear next to it. At the time of this posting there are three people in there. You'll also find a link in my sig, "Use the Gabbly".
You'll be given a default name, like gabber007 or something, The name is in a box. Type your preferred name in the box, hit the change button, and Gabbly will change it. You can also register to get an avatar.

A fine tea indeed! One of my favourites after the various 'gunpowder' teas.
Have you tried a thin slice of lemon instead of the sugar? I find it is even more refreshing...
But no milk...never milk...not with Earl Grey...
I must say I am happy to have found another tea drinker ;)

why no milk with earl grey? I work in a tea shop/restauant and I have always been told to put milk with everything. As I don't drink tea I have never learned the 'protocall' for it.

I'm not a big tea drinker, but when I do, it's Earl Grey, and I will leave putting milk in tea to you all from the UK.:)
With that I'm off for a week.:(

The same thing happens to me whenever I go on. It could be a problem with gabbly. It always says zero gabblers, and I can type, but when I go back later whatever I had typed before isn't there, and I can still see the last thing I did manage to say.

If it was the hello and the smile, that was a while ago. I've typed more since then.

Well Earl Grey is whats called an afternoon tea. Its a refreshing tea. Milk and Earl Grey is Just Not Done in polite society ;)
Of course it comes to personal preference but I find it makes the tea taste like a rancid gym sock.
As for the protocol....milk first...then tea...then a lump or two of sugar...

I always but the milk in after the tea. I don't make it very often and as such I find it difficult to work out how much milk to put in to make the right stength tea without seeing the colour.

Quite...its a skill....like making espresso...
Always boil fresh water...never use water thats been already boiled. And let the tea steep. Then serve it.
Loose tea over tea bags of course. Although teabag have come on leaps and bounds the fact is that you get a better tea with the free leaf.
Funnily enough...was just going to make a cuppa and....I've bloody well run out! :headbang:

This is post #5. Since this post this thread has not been on topic. I rarely see a thread derail that fast. Good work.
