Norman Borlaug

Despite the fact that he's the father of the Green Revolution, and is credited with saving over 1 billion lives (which I'm pretty sure is a record), I've noticed that not too many people have heard of this guy, and so I pose the questions:
1)Have you heard of Norman Borlaug?
2)Why is such an influential figure in the 20th century so obscure?

No, obviously it's a conspiracy.
I have no idea who this person is :)
Norman never even got his face on a box of Wheaties - which is ironic and sad.

1) Never heard of him.
2) Because he had a bad marketing strategy :p
More seriously, because nobody paid attention to what he did. And nobody pays attention because nobody knows him :)

Thank you Wikipedia.
As I'm pro-biotechnology, and Nobel Peace Prize winners in general, I'm glad I can now say I've heard of him.
