GoodThoughts

Ok flolks what movies sould I see this holiday season? What are your favorite movies that are currently in the theathers? My daughter will be home from NYC and we often go to a movie or two over the holiday. She works and goes to law school at night so she has little time to see movies during the year. I want to see "The Good Shepard". I believe it starts tonight.

a few weeks back I saw "The Santa Clause 3" if you like the Santa Claus movies you would like it, it was pretty good.

I did see "Deck the Halls" and it had it's moments of hilarity but the plot was pretty.........blah.

I missed it this time but I will watch it on Christmas and boxing day *lies*

I would suggest night at the museum not a holiday film but it has Ben stiller, Ricky Gervais and Robin Williams so it should be good

Die Hard. Best holiday film ever made.

Good Sheppard does look good. If you can still catch the Departed in the theater go see that. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.

speaking of have you guys seen that cellphone commercial that parodies "A Christmas Story"?

well, my kids haven't seen the movie so every time at the end my kids ask "why is he dressed like a bunny?!"

it's so funny.

I think we might have to watch the actual movie now..........(not that hubby and I haven't seen it umpteen million times.)

Well growing up we had like 4 channels, only three of which were reasonably clear, so TV has never been a fascination for me.

theres the problem!

it looks very funny but i hate ben stiller, despise owen wilson and im not all that fond of robin williams.

but it looks reaaaalllly funny.

and i dont trust anyones review of a movie with ben stiller and owen wilson ever since "the royal tennenbaums" turned out to be one of the worst movies ive ever seen.

It's funny, I keep hearing about "A Christmas Story" but I don't think that it's often played on this side of the Atlantic. It must be an American thing. It sounds good, at least it's majorly hyped on IMDB (it's in it's top 250). I'll have to check if it'll be on television soon. Meh, I've probably missed it if it was on.

Maybe he means the original, animated version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" because it is far superior to Jim Carrey's version.

Hmmm very interesting. when I was in NYC over Labor Day weekend a Will Smith movie was being filmed near Macy's. It had a bunch of Army type vechicles in it. I wonder if it is the same movie? I agree about Will Smith; he is one of my favorite actors.
