HAGERSTOWN - A kindergarten student was accused earlier this month of sexually harassing a classmate at Lincolnshire Elementary School, an accusation that will remain on his record until he moves to middle school.

Washington County Public Schools spokeswoman Carol Mowen said the definition of sexual harassment used by the school system is, "unwelcome sexual advances, request for sexual favors and/or other inappropriate verbal, written or physical conduct of a sexual nature directed toward others."

Mowen said that definition comes from the Maryland State Department of Education.

According to a school document provided by the boy's father, the 5-year-old pinched a girl's buttocks on Dec. 8 in a hallway at the school south of Hagerstown.

Pardon me for asking...but does the definition given require the offender to KNOW WHAT SEX IS????

In a sane world, teacher quietly pulls the little boy aside, tells him that what he did is not appropriate, and sends him off to get his milk and graham crackers. End of Story.

Sexual deviants in kindergarten! Clearly the liberal/homosexual/nazisridingdinosaur conspiracy is to blame.

The bizzare thing, I think something like this was a small part of one of the Charlie Brown Christmas Movies.

As a spokesperson for my local chapter of the Gay Agenda, we are pleased at the progress so far and hope to introduce advance sadmasochistic devices by the 3rd grade.

What the fuck are you smoking?

And why aren't you sharing?

isn't the question more "did she feel victimized?"

I mean the "I didn't know she would freak out" excuse is still used by grown "men"

Regarding the first part, nothing. This is my perfectly sober. I don't smoke anything. I've never found it necessary to smoke come up with complete and utter hogwash.

It was sarcasm though. The first bit. There was something in a Charlie Brown Christmas Movie about (Rerun?) getting in trouble for harrasment or something when he asked some other kindegartner if she would like to run off to France with him.

No offense, Smunk, but that's ludicrous. Did she feel sexually victimised? I should hope not. She shouldn't even have a clue what sex is. Would the kid have been suspended if he'd pinched her arm?

You'd think that at least one of the two involved in the sexual harassment would know what sex is, wouldn't you?

That's the zero-tolerance mentality at work. And people wonder why I think school choice is essential to good education.

One day, when I get tired of making hard decisions, I'm going to go work at a place that has a zero-tolerance policy.

Isn't this the same when some substitute teacher got "harassed" by some kid who touched her breasts or something? The kid was about 5 as well. It's retarded. They don't know what sex is,surely it's a matter between the kid and the teacher?Perhaps the parents should have been told to teach the kid about not doing that? But getting the kid done for sexual harassment is,well, bullshit.

The worst part about it is, these kids are going to get warped by the massive overreaction. Instead of growing up like normal kids who learn as they go, both of these kids are going to grow up with a disproportionate idea of what this stuff means.

The boy is going to probably have massive self-esteem issues because he's being treated so badly, he probably would have had lesser reprocussions if he had jammed a pencil through her eye.

She's going to be oversensitive to touching of ANY kind, even normal touching, because until that point she probably didn't even realize when the boy pinched her fanny that it was any big deal.

But we live in a place where you can be expelled for drawing a picture of a gun, for bringing a couple aspirin to school or for just being a kid.

All justified by the mantra "Think of the children"

Clearly that five year old boy is a sexual predator who will very likely continue to harm young girls. Since he's got a right to an education we can't force him to stay 1000 yards away from any school, so I recommend chemical castration.

Chemical castrations cost too much. He should be shot and fed to hobos.
