Hey, I am a new comer to this NationStates, and I would like your opinion about governments?

What is your Favorite government?

And also, why do people hate Communism and Fascism so much? In my opinion, I think they are quite effective governments for high production, and military. Do not be offended that I like communism and fascism, though.

I love the democratic governments.

Naturally many don't like Communism because it's oppresive, but there is still a great deal of Communist nations here at NS. Facism however is closely resembled with the Nazi regeime in real life.

I'm a fan of the government of the Chicago Journeyman Plumbers' Union, actually.

If you could have a great king that cares for his nation and his subjects it would certainly make a monarchy be the best system. Though a nation cannot always have a great king, which makes a monarchy impractical. All systems can be abused and all government systems are abused. Democracy and Republic can be abused most widespread but it is harder to cause widespread damage to a nation as a whole.

A government so liberal that it plays host to many mercenaries, arms-smugglers and greedy corporations (my own)

I think a superintelligent borganism formed from uploaded copies of citizens would make the best government. It combines a benevolent dictatorship with direct democracy.

Anarchy...

...but since it'll never work, I'll stick with benevolent dictatorship. Might not be democratic, but it get's shit done!

I strongly support a communist system. I despise fascism. I dislike the numerous human rights violations committed by communist nations, but all communists governments (save Stalinist SU and North Korea, for example) have and continue to be progressive. I strongly support Hugo Chavez's Venezuela, and I support the Cubans in their struggle to build socialism. While today's communist countries lack many fundamental rights, the governments that preceded them were far worse. For those who say communism killed 100 million people, I say the results are slightly exagerated and capitalism has probablly killed more. My ideal government would be a communist system economically with as much direct democracy as possible (depending on the size of the nation).

I'm inclined towards the extreme right, but only secular (and not too racist).

A secular, democratic republic, with a sensibly mixed economic system and equal parts left and right.
