I always felt Lego was too restricting. Sometimes I wanted to do something and could never find a small enough piece. If it was a free-form cloud that could change into the shape I desired instantly, it would be awesome though.

I continue to build tanks, cruisers, weapons of war, and fighter planes of Lego to this day, despite my advanced age (well, sort of advanced). Then I use them to blow each other up. It's a good stress reliever/causer.

I loved lego and mechano (and still do)

As to your advanced age, perhaps you'd like to adopt my own personal philosophy on this:

Nobody ever grows up, they just develop a more sophisiticated taste in toys.

I really liked my space set legos. I used to have hours of fun staging battles between ships and having them blow eachother up. Then I'd put them back together and start anew. Occationally I would take them all apart and see what new designs I could come up with on my own.

Legos are great.

I also liked lincoln logs, but I never owned any of those so I only got to play with them when I was at someone's house that had them. One of the ladies that used to babysit me had a big bucket of army men that I liked to play with as well... I'm feeling so nostalgic right now. :)

Plastacine, lego and brio were all cool. Mechanix was pretty good as well. But you were really in trouble if you didn't have the right piece At least with lego you could work around the problem.

I mention brio because I distinctly remember making a 'ski-slope-esque' jump out in a garden in devon once. You should have seen those trains fly.

Yeah but apparently above the age of 12 or so people are "supposed" to abandon physical toys for pr0n and videogames. ^=.x&

and I have a whole set of WWII era American soldiers, in 1:45; I was planning on making models of some of the RP battles I've done, but it took too much time and effort, so I never finished it. With lego you just put pieces together and end up with something (and if you're me it's usually good).

Lego rocks! I loved playing with lego when I was a little kid. I also had these things that were nothing more than little cardboard boxes painted to look like bricks that I loved to play with. Legos
