Historic President, modern problems!

You know, sometimes I like to sit back and think about how a historic President would handle the problems and issues that the modern President has. So far my favorite one is Teddy Roosevelt. I believe that Teddy Roosevelt would be alot more aggressive on the War in Afghanistan (probably wouldn't even go to Iraq unless it had value important to the USA), and he would even lead the charge on a horse and with a sword. Yes he is that manly. We would def. see alot more environmental resolution being passed, since he was an avid outdoorsmen. He would probably even advocate alternative fuels. He would def. be against free market, he was famous for anti-trust laws. However, we would at least have a wall on our border. I think Teddy Roosevelt would handle the problems of today better than Bush would. Now it's your turn, pick a president and determine how he would handle today's problem.

FDR would prescribe a healthy dose of government aid. He'd assure us on national TV that we had nothing to fear except fear itself, and people wouldn't shit on Muslims so much.

You do realize that there was massive anti-German and anti-Japanese propaganda during World War II, right?

Replace with anti-Muslim and it's all the same.

So he definitely would go to Iraq then.

Well he did invade Panama because it was a strategic location to put the canal. So he would probably Invade Iraq for the oil, however he would probably put his love of the environment first and be a major force in pushing alternative fuel to the forefront.

True, I'm just saying that sometimes President can't control how much our enemies in war get shitted on.

It's funny you should mention the Spanish American War...that was a war of conquest. And Teddy didn't even ride the horse up the hill, he walked up with the rest of his cavalry regiment ;-)

Yea, I'm just saying that he would be on the front line with our men and women. Yes, he is just that manly!

Damnit.

When will people realize this is a freaking war on terror and not a war on Muslims?

That's right, neocons. You may have to arrest white guys. Maybe you should sit down and have a drink while this sinks in.

"Guess who's back!!!" :D

I'd like to think Richard Nixon would play his middle-of-the-road domestic policy again which though not ideal would be much better than what we are seeing on many issues.

Internationally he would get the U.S out of Iraq and Afghanistan albeit not after bombing Pakistani insurgent camps and such and lets not forget building closer relations with China

edit: I think I deserve an A+ for this report :p
