After being free of school forever for about 2-3 weeks (I can't remember as the days are melding together!), I'm getting a tad bored. While I was at school I always felt like there weren't enough hours in the day to get school and recreational stuff done, now there are too many. Does anyone else ever feel like this? What does one do when one finds oneself in this situation?

Rest and relax.
Oh, I know that feeling very well. The solution is simple. Learn something else in your own free time. Another language, a musical instrument, something to keep the brain working. Eventually, you'll be appreciating that recreation time even more when you're procrastinating from your own imposed studies, and then the amount of free time will seem just right. Trust me, I speak from experience. And then you'll one day decide to get a job, and you'll dread having to go into work and just want one more day of rest....and maybe one more...and no, I would not like to go into work on Sunday....I have...plans...plans that involve sleeping...
Trust me! It works perfectly. :)

I remember when I couldn't wait to get out of high school and get out of my small town and onto bigger things. Then, I joined the Navy only three weeks after graduating school. I was gone for four months for training, came back home for three weeks and now I'm stationed in Sigonella Sicily. During all that I began to miss the simpler life, where I had no responsibilities where everything was easy. I miss my mom terribly and I miss my friends. I deal with it by thinking of all the good things I remember. Also, I try to keep myself busy which isn't hard with being in the military. Staying busy keeps your mind occupied.

I know exactly where you're at, I just finished too. I can't wait 'til the next time me and my friends do something.

You could always make one, or hijack this one. It's pretty dead.

Me too!
EDIT: As to the OP, I know what you mean. I never got that feeling over short breaks that only lasted a couple weeks, but summers sometimes seemed interminably long. So I started teaching myself things to fend off the boredom, like Kanabia said. You should try it. :)

i wish i could do school/childhood again so i could be more sensible about it and be more free with teenage boinking.
Uh, not really. I'm in Australia too, so I've also been on holidays for a couple weeks. I'm quite happy at the moment. :)

Not me. I am also done school till January, and I am loving every minute of it. Going form ~60 hours a week between school and work that number is at about 25. I feel like I am doing nothing, but I have something to keep me buisy.

I know I'm going to get the same feeling soon, Thursday was last day of school.
With sympathies!
I know the feeling. All semester I've been dying for Winter Break to come. Second day at home and I'm going crazy from boredom. There's no where I have to be, nothing to do and my girlfriend is across the state at school still. At least over the summer I have my job to keep me busy.
I turn to the internet to keep me occupied or watch my Rome dvds.

It's what I try to do! Admittedly, with varying degrees of success, but still. :p
